  • A successful partnership with a food vendor requires a collaborative working relationship and ongoing monitoring of healthier food service guidelines. By including routine compliance checks in your policy, contract, or written agreement, you will increase the likelihood that the policy's intent is achieved. A schedule of routine compliance checks should be established with the vendor upfront. Here's an example of a healthier food audit that can be periodically used to evaluate the vendor’s compliance with FSG policy standards in real time. Compliance checks also provide an opportunity for the vendor to identify any challenges they're experiencing and to improve implementation through mutually agreed upon changes.
