      Likely felt that way due to the grip in the front and back straps and how sharp of a radius it is.

      CZ is a heck of a choice.

    • @Osprey1994
      @Osprey1994 3 місяці тому +5

      How is M&P 2.0 a slept on platform? It's a common gun at competitions, and it's a common gun on the range in general. Additionally, it's one of the most common pistols in LE alongside Glock and Sig.

    • @CrashRacknShoot
      @CrashRacknShoot 3 місяці тому +5

      @@Osprey1994people do buy them, yes. It does seem weird though that nobody talks about them on a day to day outside of list videos like they do Glocks or whatever the new hotness is. I think it comes from a boringly high level of reliability. Nobody ever has drama with them, so it has become so understood that they're excellent, almost outside of being in a conversation with other comparable guns in a group gun nerd setting. Because of that, it seems nobody feels the need to talk about them.

    • @PointBlank65
      @PointBlank65 3 місяці тому +1

    • @CrashRacknShoot
      @CrashRacknShoot 3 місяці тому

      @@PointBlank65 true. Also is fine by me. There's nothing wrong with building guns. Been there, done it, still have fun with it. However, I do believe a firearm you truly trust your life to should be dead reliable out of the box and should remain stock, at least stock internals/functional components. Both Glocks and M&Ps have that reliability, and M&P, in a way, keeps the discipline alive to not fuck with it for the reasons you mentioned.

    I went with the Echelon because of the ergonomics and grip texture. Went with Patriot CNC magwell and mag bases for 20rds, Apex ext mag release and Guide rod. Holosun HS407 bolts right on and went with a surefire X300 so it would fit in a Comptak holster. Only have about 1k rounds thru it so far, but loving it. Now if I wasn’t on the Glock Operating System using Shadow Systems, I would be using the S&W M&P 2.0 Compact. For the price point now a days I would consider the CZ P10C. However I know it’s not a striker fired gun, I would go with the DA/SA CZ P-07, (before the P10C), probably with some Cajun Gunworks and/or CZ Customs magic done to it. I have about 15000 rds in this pistol and it has performed flawlessly. PDF is just great as well. I also have the Echelon and it’s one I shoot several times a week and I’d buy it again. Lastly and surprised me how well it shoots is the Sig P320 X Compact. I’m surprised how well I can hit with this small but chunky gun. I’d say right now it’s tied even with my PDP. My go-to is the Sig P365 series. Whether it's the X, XL, or X Macro, the modularity and aftermarket options are great and it is a great do-all choice. As for the grip texture, the Wilson Combat grip is an affordable option and more aggressive than the stock Sig or you can go for another aftermarket option in metal like the Icarus Precision grips.

    Having run a plethora in testing over the years, I’m still sticking with my G19s (and frankenglock/Roland Special-inspired hybrid).
    Took a class with Robert Vogel last weekend. 2 main takeaways:
    1: Rob is still blazing fast and a good instructor.
    2: it’s more about the user versus the gun.
    That being said; Caniks had more issues than anything else.
    If you ever feel like taking a break from gun reviews, I’d like to hear about your take on watches and battle/competition/duty belt setups.

    As far as a favorite goes, from your picks, I really like the P365 because of the modularity and ability to go from a 10 round pocket pistol to a sub compact with 17 rounds. Shalotec has outdone the competitors with the modularity capabilities. Honestly I'm still on the fence about getting a new grip module/frame or leaving it as is with the Sharps Bro's and VZ Operator 2 grips. On another note, Shadow Systems is doing something that no other manufacturers are doing when it comes to a carry gun. I'm super intrigued and would love to get my hands on a full size and conceal Shadow Systems.

    I certainly don’t hate Glocks. But because of extremely limited range of motion on my support hand wrist from being shattered quite a few years ago, the grip angle just doesn’t work for me. Great guns no doubt. But after trying out a few different guns I have settled on the Walther PDP. I’ve trained with them a lot and I’ve come to really love those. Another one is my Canik elite combat. I haven’t tried other Canik’s, but that particular one is just superb! I think the grip angle is pretty similar to the Walther. And after about 4000 rounds it has proven itself reliable as well.
