Your video was recommended by a FB group devoted to native plants of Virginia. I'm new to all of this, so I found your video very helpful. I recognize many of these plants as also native to VA. Thanks a bunch!

Great video. I'm always looking for something that'll have a splash of green in the winter months, so this was much appreciated! I just planted a couple of Carex pensylvanica this past November, and they're still green and looking healthy. From what I'm reading, they should remain green throughout the Zone 8 winter. I'm really hoping I can get the entire area under the oak tree filled with them so it has a nice fluffy lawn appearance!

Thank you for watching and for the comment! I planted some Carex this year as well. I believe it’s happy and in a good spot so looking forward to it taking off this year. I love their tiny flowers.

I have blanketflower and gray goldenrod plants that still have green leaves. Don’t know if that’s typical because I only planted them this fall. I’m in East Tennessee. White Cloud muhly grass has beautiful white plumes still on the plants in January, for a different color in winter.

Thank you for watching! I love pink muhly grass but for this video didn’t use any grasses. I’ll have to look into the goldenrod. Thank you for sharing!
