EDIT- purchased Merit 1990 after months of deciding whether to spend that much on a lipstick. Received it a few days ago and now I just live here. In 1990. With this lipstick.

I so love your careful and thoughtful analysis of what you’re currently loving and what products that you already own help you achieve that. Every time I watch your videos, I want to downsize my collection - both makeup and clothes - and focus on the products that truly give me joy. It’s a very nice and welcome change from other videos that make me want to run out and buy more stuff (although I love those videos too)!
I don't understand what the point of that gucci palette is. They made it super bulky with the promise that you'd be able to get refills. But now not only can you not actually get refills, they're putting out OTHER pallettes like it, again with the refill aspect, that they will soon make unavailable again. So you're just stuck with this packaging which you'll throw away at the end of the product. $152 dollars for that palette, mind! $152 for a promise that you get to reuse the packaging. Brands should really be help accountable. Look it up yourself! That refill is nowhere to be found. In fact, you can barely find refills of the newer palette! What a scam.

I am really excited to see some glam palette use, I would like to buy that when I pan my current cool toned palette. I am in no rush, I have waited all of this time but it is nice to see a creator circle back around to/show some love to this older but timeless palette.
I absolutely must unearth my vanity and do this. My collection is so big it’s unwieldy. I have to dig to find what I want. This will help me get ready efficiently and use what I have. Love these videos, and when you curate your own palettes.
Due to how hot it’s been lately, I also haven’t felt compelled to play with eyeshadow looks, and I’ve even gone as far as ditching mascara and eyebrow pencil most of the days because I just can’t be bothered - it’s all going to melt off on my oily skin anyway.
That being said, I’ve been loving the simplicity and ease of wearing wet look products, so my absolute favorites in the past few weeks have been UD Space Cowboy (in a light wash, all the way up to the brow) and Skinshow Moon Glow from PMG Midnight Sun palette (as a highlighter). Even if they melt or rub off my face during the day, it’s barely noticeable, if at all.
Everytime you mention Brigitte Bardot I get the giggles imagining every under 30 viewer googling - "who the heck is Brigitte Bardot?"
Eh, as a French, pretty much everyone knows who she is, even people under 30 and that's not for good reasons unfortunately. Poor thing is off her rockers lol.
such a random question but -- did that little bronze/gold-ish colored jar to the left of the Oud one come from a costco candle? I had a set of candles from costco in very similarly patterned jars that I repurposed in the exact same way after the candle was used up!

I want so badly to be able to display my brushes on my work surface like you do, but we have three cats and a dog--lots of free-floating dust and hair abounds, so my brushes, sadly, stay in a drawer. I tried keeping my most used brushes out and draping a protective tea towel over them when not in use--it looked like I was putting a pet bird to bed!--but that wasn't pleasing to my eye, which bothered me to the point of putting them back in the drawer. 😑
