I’m not a Wanderers fan, but I can unambiguously say that this is absolutely disgusting from the NSW police. It’s clear that the treatment of WSW fans stems from the systemic racism within the Force. Further to that, the NSW Police Force have a clear agenda: to undermine domestic Football by alienating and intimidating fans. I’m certain that fans across the League are sick of this agenda. The A-League MUST go beyond empty statements and broken promises - as they have done in the past. They must hold the NSW police accountable for their appalling tactics at football games. Well done to the RBB for exposing this malicious treatment of innocent fans.
Ya know what, that was by far the worst policing we have ever seen in our terrace, there is no reason for police to even be near our north end bays.. They can wait outside the ground for something really bad to happen rather than enter the ground and create a weird tension, what the fk do they expect.
What did they do wrong? Help the economy by keeping their clubs a float & keep people employed by paying for food/drinks/parking & a train ride? Is it a crime to have a little passion & sing a few songs at a sporting event? Didn't notice cops arresting Taylor Swift fans for singing .. & there was 95,000 of them? Is this a double standard here?
Riot squad using this as a training exercise... Do you OG RBB members remember Edensor Park friendly just before you joined the A-League in 2012, Syd United supporters copped this same treatment about 20min into that game, police just looking for any excuse to start trouble where there was none. Was always going to happen eventually in the A-League, cops probably funded by NRL
What's so disappointing despite the effort by the rbb and supporters to produce that amazing tifo and fan reaction, the best I've seen in years, was ruined/overshadowed by that unjustified police mauling. Could be a turning point for the good if APL and Garcia genuinely support the fans on this one. Well done all involved who put on a great spectacle until constables raptor inserted themselves.
Also encouraging the guy yelling at the beginning to start punching isn't a good idea. This is what gives the RBB the stupid reputations and stigma they have.
I was on the away end above the Cove. There were police in the concourse quite a few but none in the actual terrace. I heard they were checking tickets going into the cove away but I went in there at half time to see someone and wasn't asked, so yeah I reckon you guys got the full treatment compared to the away bay.
@ADon48 If that is true that is even worse. The police are encouraging the people to fight as they want to arrest the RBB instead of doing their job. That is shocking.
Absolute disgrace. What are the politicians doing about it? This is not a simple situation of reprimanding a couple of thug police. This culture is clearly engrained that assaulting football supporters is a fundamental right of police and laws do not apply. Will any politicians have the guts to actually do something? It's easier to ignore it I guess.
me too.. it appears the rot set in 2 years ago when it was open slather on people peacefully protesting the lock downs & now this is how they follow up ..
This is disgusting. These fans are passionately supporting their team and they are getting denied access, pushed to the ground and being held there, getting pulled out the crowd and getting arrested. Now you see why OSM protested.
Was I mistaken last time I checked you're supposed to do what the police say and if you do not you get arrested all I see is a lot of Grown Men carrying on like kids grow up don't blame the police
last time i checked, you need tickets to enter the bay, which they had and provided. Last time I checked, the football was supposed to be a "family friendly space", did the cops not get that memo? Last time I checked, 14yo's without weapons don't pose a threat to police, did that 14yo have a weapon? the same 14yo that was manhandled by almost 7 officers and thrown to the ground. Last time I checked, were we not allowed to record in a public space? If the police had done nothing wrong, there would be no reason to block the cameraman. The police overstepped their boundaries by miles. Those dogs need to be sacked, fucking disgrace
@@bisontv435 well now that NSW Police finally did a sensible thing, like showing up to their meetings with the club after they didn’t at first, they will be back at the Sydney Derby on Saturday.

You’re a flop for what you’ve just said. These innocent fans show their tickets to return to their active area, and in return they get fucked by police? Think again mate.

All the active groups should come together and protest
Sometimes I think this an NRL/v'landlys influenced response - besmirch all threats. Just saying
If you worked 24 hour shifts and had to deal with people everyday I’m not surprised. Police need better conditions
Police officers dont work 24hr shifts. Standard general duties shift is about 12 hrs. These user pay shifts are a lot shorter@@cityplanner3063

Our tax money pays their wage and that's how they treat us.
Awww. Poor perpetual victims.

what i see is a bunch of good cops and security stopping a bunch of goons.
Literally everything went wrong that night. Plus did anyone see the police at the Cove supporter bay? Me neither.
