Awesome comparison. Great they got pretty close to each other. You're right. The cycplus needs some time for getting the resulut. Maybe that's why the Meilan one got off the line🤔. Curious how many would switch to this now😂
@@RCBirds i did an earlier run over a short distance and there was a huge difference. Glad I did a longer run so they had time to read the satellites etc. I wondered the same 🤣
"So it gives all of the bollox"!!! 🤣🤣 That was priceless mate! 😂 But anyway, an excellent experiment. They are all similar for sure but if you were using the Meylan you'd beat someone with exactly the same speed car that used any of the others. TBH I don't think it's fair to count the decimal points because most meters don't show that detail. Food for thought! 😎😎👍👍
@@MarkBryanRC yeah, it is food for thought definitely, 'if' i get faster I may do another run or two with them to see if higher or slower speeds make a difference
Truly appreciate you showing this as some people are having some issues with their speed readers. I own two and mine were within tenths. The meilan, and skyrc. It’s in my opinion a matter of signal strength. Cheers.
Cool to see them all together on one run and nice to see they are all about the same. The Meilan will read a little high and then a little low. I switched to the GNSS as I can leave it in the car and secure it well, the others were not as easy to do that. Plus I felt more confident it was accurate.
@@AddamsPlayground yeah, fixing it in the car and having the app is great! Plus you miss out on saying 'Track, Start, Stop, Read' with all the others 🤣😜
Stock status of Meylan in online shop: 1'000 items. 2 days later... sold out 😅 Shareholder of Meylan : Glenn "Riviera RC inc." 😁😁😁 Jokes aside, thanks for that comparison 👍👏
@@TeamJunkYardDog oh, ok... thats different. May be the speed you are going affects it? I may put them all in my van while at work and redo the test at different speeds and distances etc.
@@rivierarc I think our issue was we did not hold our speed long enough and maybe we didn't have enough satellites. We will try again. Super glad they were all close!
Excellent comparison Glenn 😎 👍
Cheers James, get this speed run stuff out of the way then the Scania is back out. 😁
Thank you. Certainly useful info.
cheers. just got curious about them all sat here.
@@rivierarc with just fractions of a second separating contestants in the speed run , one of those may be the better choice.
And just ordered a white meilan of Amazon. It will be here tomorrow.
@@Paul__FC haha, hope it helps
Great work Glenn and good to know they are all really close. Everyone is now googling that last one for the few extra tenths 😁
@@theoagrc every little helps 😜😜.. that reminds me, i must go shopping 🤣
Just off to get another couple runs in first

Good to see the speed meters are close to each other in the results.

Great experiment. It was good they were all so close.
I am not sure we can count tthis run. I believe the rules say you need a minimum of 5 gps for a run . Lol have a wonderful day
@@JoevsRc 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 damn it!!! Right, off to Amazon !!! 🤣🤣🤣
I did this test in my last video with the Meilan and the gnss The Meilan ran 48 and the gnss showed 58.
I will try the Meilan again.
