Hey Mons! Eric Devaux here, big fan of the channel and the primer author of will/lucas. Thanks for featuring the deck and showing all the different strong ways they can be built. Let me know if you would like me to discuss the deck on the channel sometimes because I think you missed some things. For example, the dockside count needed for Will+Curio+Dockside is only 4 and not 5
Hi. Yeah I saw your name pop up a bunch when I looked at EDH TOP 16. I think it was you or someone that meantioned this commander when I made a tier list for it once. I was considering reaching out. But I have a lot of stuff to do and alredy made some booking for talks so my schedual was full. So sorry. Not this time. But I think it would be cool to look at it once it has seen more games played. If you win a big tournament with it it would be really cool to talk about it.
I think it might also be worth looking into a [Wernog // Elmar] commander pairing for another blood pod list if the meta slows down. You still get elmar as a 3 drop to do the classic Kiki-Pod line. You get another grand abolisher from the last ixilan set with green. Also, you get Wernog as the outlet for the dockside-curio line. It might be worth a consider for another blood pod flavor
Love this deck! It always pops up in my analysis with an insane performance, but sample size of course is small. Hopefully more people will pick up the deck and enter tournaments with it. After they practiced with it of course. Otherwise, they will just tank the performance :D
i was thinking of building the blood pod version of the deck. maybe for high power casual though since there i like to own my cards and i want a high power deck that just hates blue. like a small creatures all the combos you can fit deck. i don't think that the blood pod version can replace tymna tana though since in that strategy attack with creatures and drawing with tymna is a very important part of how the deck works. will the wise is a very interesting commander. the baby blue farm idea makes a lot of sense actually. it kinda reminds of me breya. basically we have a combo piece in the command zone. end if we super desperate we can always cast him to draw from clues. i mean we shouldn't but we could.
Such an odd deck. Prefer Breya for "All in WUBR" but this deck has some legs. Hard not to in WUBR. Would love your take on Solophim. I've yet to see it played but the idea of burn in cEDH is hard not to get excited about.
@@cedhtv it was awesome I hadn't won a tournament before then game 1 was crazy I casted underworld breach in got countered then I play lurrus recast underworld breach it got countered again I casted final fortune went to my next turn and finally resolved the breach
@@ELDevaux I agree the free cast sucks, but choosing one that gives card advantage or one that can ping a creature the former sounds stronger in the meta
I'd have to play with Lucas to see how often being able to kill weenies actually comes up but my gut reaction is card draw is the best thing in magic and Eleven draws cards and that's only the floor of what she can do.

@@cedhtv Yeah you definitely saw my name in EDHTOP16 :)
Totally understand! We are all busy. Hope we get a chance to chat on the deck some day soon!
Sorry, very late to the party, but how is the dockside count for Curio 4 and not 5?
@@havardharaldsen332 because of will's trigger
No Cat unlocks some fun stuff with this
Correct~!

I've made a janky food token hulk deck from these two, haven't played it yet but hopefully performs well
Thanks for finding the cool decks cedh_tv, always excited to see what videos you upload
your welcome. happy to read that.

Yeah I hope these videos gets players to play this more. And you are correct that we do have a few commanders that is only played by a few players.
This deck loves YOU, datatog!

I play the Lurrus companion slot in a non reserved list version of the deck and it was far and away the best in the non reserved list field.

Glad to see someone else still plays breya. I love these colors so much I’m on Blue Farm, Breya, and working on this one too.
Last Sunday I won a led with these commanders and lurrus
nice! GZ!

Colorless commanders ask for some love
Yeah they need it.
Why Lucas over Eleven? You’d have same color ID but Eleven offers a bit of draw in the CZ plus maybe a cheat on a fat spell like PITA.
Lucas uses Will's clues to kill dorks and some stax like Bowmasters
Lurrus Companion, if you’re willing to drop some of the powerful advantage engines, is extremely powerful
Why isn't the paring with Eleven the mage? Is the Lurrus potential that good?
Eleven is just not very good unfortunately. Lucas is pretty decent though. I dont run Lurrus anymore. Tried it and it wasnt very good

@@nonlinear3084 It's her mana cost that is the problem.
And being able to sac an artifact and ping a creature is surprisingly relevant

You forgot to talk about how to play against them
True! Saddly they don't have a generic weakness. They kinda lack value engien in command zone. But they don't have. Do this kinda stuff.
I just don’t see this necessarily better than Blue farm. Blue farm have less dead cards probably?
It's faster than blue farm and can win more easily
The point is to play something different. See if it works. This format is far from solved.
Innovation is the key to discovery here.
