Bro! Life saver! I’ve wanted to drive long haul for SOOO LONG but I pass it up because I need that playtime to wind-down, or at the very least, play games with my kids and friends to stave boredom and being alone! Thumbs up! 👍
This is one of the main reasons I haven’t pulled the trigger to go full OTR trucking just yet. But seeing this I don’t see a reason why not. Gaming, Netflix, and Trucking and it’s only going to get better as tech advances. I mainly play on PC.
I've got my gaming pc ratcheted to my top bunk on top of cushions for shock absorption. I've got a bed desk and portable monitor from amazon and a wireless keyboard and mouse. Not perfect but I can still play competitive games most of the time with my verizon hotspot
Man thank you so much oh, that was awesome I'm getting ready to start Trucking I was wondering how to take my game with me and be comfortable that was much-needed and much appreciated
Walmart sells 15lbs Velcro over in hardware. If you want a cleaner TV setup, and have the right size window for it, I took a 1x12, bolted a tv mount to it, grind off the backs of the bolts, Velcro on the corners (4 pieces is PLENTY trust me) and cover the bolt nubs on the back to protect the window. it works great and is very clean. A good combo for cheap is the 32” Onn TV and they have a $10 TV mount as well although you’ll be limited to 720p
You better enable auto turn off mode for the TV and console and change the console from "instant on" to "energy save mode" in case you forget to turn them off or fall asleep. They'll drain the battery like crazy.
Im having an issue with keeping everything on. I only have the inverter under the bunk that came with the freightliner cascadia. can I have another inverter? Like I can’t even run my microwave and fridge at the same time rn. Please lmk im new to the trucking tricks for electrical power.
Great video, but you forgot one thing... A public service announcement... Something that SHOULD be an OBVIOUS NO BRAINER to everyone, but you just KNOW it HAS happened, and, unfortunately WILL happen again... DO NOT RIG YOUR GAMING SYSTEM SO YOU CAN PLAY WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING!!! Keep it in the BACK of the truck, as seen in this video!
I like your video. But one thing in your setup doesn't need to be there. If you already have a Xbox you don't need a fire stick. Your Xbox will already do everything the fire stick will do. And then some. On top of that you Xbox will load you movies and shows faster and be in better quality. So yeah, plugging in a fire stick is like shooting yourself in the foot.
I'm just waiting on my TNT tanker and afterward so I can be a gamer and a trucker. Lol been waiting at the hotel for 4 days. I'm so bored. The wifi sucks
I think most current plans will still give you unlimited but you’ll only get like 15-20gb of high speed then after that they slow the speed down but it’s still unlimited lol
Right on! Been driving teams since 2017 and when we were driving regular otr I had no problem gaming on console. However, a couple of years ago we started driving exclusively for an LTL company which means we have zero down time until we reset for 34 hours. (There’s no waiting to get loaded or unloaded, detention time etc) So I switched to gaming on my phone (CoD Mobile and PUBG Mobile) And my company bought me a Switch lite which I really love but…. My problem is gaming while my girlfriend drives. Internet was a problem going in and out but I bought a hotspot and it’s no longer an issue. My issue is the bumpy roads.
