Haha I was already almost convinced just needed to make sure it’s not a dupe of what I already have. The shiny one looks pretty much as you saw, the matte doesn’t really change it much. Our wallets are safe!

I just read something about Pats new collection: the quints are also in a cardboard packaging, but they are 30ish euro's. So essentially, with the new quad, youre paying 20 euro extra for repeat shades and one shadow less! (Ans of course the quints did have unique new shades!)
I would definitely get this quad if it was easily available in the US… so I’m glad for my wallet it’s impossible to find here! 😂😂😂 I can make a decent enough similar look for me, thank goodness. That Chanel quad is gorgeous! Love the look!! Very sophisticated! I'm with you on the PM collection ! I'm a collector of all things PM and not falling for this nonsense! I didn't get the Bejewelled palette because it sold out and PM had to remove it and refund me in my order and it has never restocked. You still can't purchase it so I assume that's why she is bringing us this quad. Even though I was robbed in my order, I will not be picking this up and will wait for a sale when it comes to her highlighter. The embossing is exactly the same as her Bridgerton single highlighter in Incandescent Gold 002. Which make me believe this highlighter was supposed to be part of another Bridgerton collection that ultimately didn't happen. Now the lipsticks are the only thing I'm interested in. They are beautiful Nude shades and not in that cheap blue and peach packaging. Thank God she went back to the Black and gold luxe lipstick packaging. Those I may pick up on a sale. The Hourglass finishing powders are sooo good! That's a must in my collection and Dim light is soooo pretty! ❤❤❤❤

Such a beautiful quad, the shades are elegant and pretty ❤ however there is something I don’t like about the shape look wise, they remind me of those eyeshadows with no pigment I used to wear when I was a teenager 😅
Hi Mariam! Beautiful sophisticated and understated look! So perfect for workplace. And for night, you just have to add more black. I did pick up the quad and I really enjoy using it. I agree with your “critique” that the two mid-tone shades are redundant. The people at my local Chanel counter said that many people are not buying it because it’s too similar to the Holiday quint (I did not purchase that one because it’s too glittery). I am personally happy with each shadow in this quad. 10/10 for me.

Also the tones in the Chanel quad are lovely, I think I need at least Natasha Denona levels of bling to be convinced to open my wallet, but I agree it would be a lovely palette for someone who wants a cool-toned office palette or a base for layering.

I knew that this was going to be your reaction to the PML collection. This is the first quad I am skipping…with respect to the rest of the collection, it is nice but not a must have. I don’t need more highlighters and the lipsticks are not unusual enough for me to get them. It is possible if they are on a fire sale I may consider it…but I am now at the point where, I think I rather add more of other things. I have been using Chanel quads for at least 35 years. These are meant for great work looks. That said, the Chanel shadows have been changing to be more pigmented. This is not indie shadows…it is meant to be more subtle. I continue my love… Very jealous you got it first…but I will wait until my Chanel lady has if for me. 😎
Well if even you’re skipping the collection…that says a lot! Chanel make so many different formulas so there is definitely something for everyone out there (who doesn’t expect Clionadh level sparkle).

I cannot with Pat's valentines collection. Whyyy would she put a blue rose on the packaging and not have a blue shade in the quad. And the repeat shades, so soon, are sadly a new low i didn't think possible. Ugh I forgot about the cardboard packaging and the price. On a side note, what glorious brush are you using for blush?

Valentine's Day 'collection' aka lazily putting shades from her old palettes in a quad and calling it done!! I am starting to feel weirded out Mariam because I also wear Nars Deauville and I also went back through all Pat's purples while I was complaining about the palette and thought she should have gone with Synthetica. I will admit that I was drawn to the purple and cool pink because I don't own those colours, but then she re-released Ritualistic Rose and Nocturnal Nirvana, and I would much rather have the purple and the pinks from those palettes... which fell straight into my shopping cart ;)
@@mariam.a. From a business perspective, something is very odd. Can you read about Pat anywhere to find out what she has been up to and how much she is hands-on in the PML brand? It feels lowdown to have "recycled" products thrown at you. It's better to wait and develop something great for the fans instead of old stuff repackaged. I'm not into PML, but overall I am curious business-wise as I would be for a brand I purchased. KEEP SNUGGLY. We had a few inches of snow and are expecting a few more. People can't drive in it to save a life! HUGS!
