Pulls the heartstrings seeing the old melbourne that I once loved so much....I could've been anywhere around the local CBD in 1989 back then...Miss the Z1's too to this day and such an vantage point from the old Gas & Fuel Towers back then...You can still feel that buzz when watching this, that life...I suppose the W's are in tie for Moomba (maybe) back then which also used to be great. I really wonder what happened to that white iconic tourist bus?! It's was such a stalwart keeper back then and then it just disappeared in the 90's, never saw it again...Sure there's a red double decker bus that you might see these days and it'll even go as far as Port Melbourne?! But I really want to know what happened to the white double decker tourist bus on here now?!...In 2019 I distance myself as much as possible from all those spots now.....
Very enjoyable video which brought back some memories, do they still deck the trams out in the AFL team colours? My cousin and I sat at Bourke Street waiting for the "Collingwood" tram for an hour when we were young lads. Some classic cars too were great to see.
Blasted old bombs they are... we deserve some NEW trams and lots of them.. these old high floor things should be long gone. Instead, most of these are still lurching around. Nice video though...
❤just what the dr ordered, old Melbourne and Trams
It's like watching footage of a loved one that's passed. Melbourne was a great place to live back then.

Older tram and bus videos have lots of other interesting things that you don't notice when they are new.
In 1989, I (a Japanese) was living in South Yarra. This video reminds me of those days.
Malcolm would love these tram videos...
Turnbull?
@@planetx1595 Malcolm - the 1986 movie; he's obsessed with trams!
loved seeing the Z1's on route 82. Brings back a lot of memories

I have never seen a Z Class tram on route 86. Only A, D2, B and E.
I just love those Zs and Ws
Remembering the 1989 vfl Grand Final Geelong vs Hawthorn Bring a Tear to my Eyes September 30 that Famous Day and we Lost That Day Go Cats
Route 42 is now Route 109 (Mont Albert to Port Melbourne).
I love trams
The year I was born...
Still like trolley poles instead of pantagraphs
No Z class on the West Preston Route back then just W's
