I have a 1987 Honda Prelude (2nd gen). They're good cars, but Prelude prices are low because they're FWD and generally heavier than Civics and Integras while having less of an aftermarket. If you want something cheap with a deeper connection to an AE86 Corolla, look into AE82 Corollas, AE92 Corollas, and AW11 MR2s also.
Prices are on the rise. Next 5 to 10 years prices will double or triple for well maintained 3rd gens. Already low mileage original equipment 3rd gens are selling for 5 figures. Highest I've seen is almost 40k
Just found your channel. This is one of the most beautiful preludes in the 80s ,or rather Honda 's design in the 1980s, where their design is the most classic and a beauty. Shout out to the owner. I hope if you can fit in the stock steering wheel and the gear know. Keep it as long as you can . This is truly a beauty gem.
I own a manual 2001 3rd gen MrS, believe me, the stick saves me from many of my friends who want to test drive it. Wont simply let anyone having the pleasure revving my car... Luckily they passed their driving test only from the auto-gear test package. 😂
I have a 1991 3rd gen Prelude but it's the EX (Europe base model ) with the crappy SOHC carb motor and without all that fancy stuff like 4WS or ....powered windows. But it's still a great car for a relatively cheap price. Main issue though is parts and aftermarket. Not much to find there, which can be good sometimes because you need to get creative or improvise and learn a lot in the process. But I'm glad this car gets more attention. It will eventually drive the prices up but I already have one so I'm ok I guess.
@@blazeaglory I'm not planning on swapping the motor ...yet. I want to do a fully built turbo B20a5 sometime in the future tho. I have read that parts from other B series and some from H22 would fit. But atm I'm glad the car is running and I don't want to rip it apart. As for the 4WS, that depends on the price and where you're located.
It can't be stolen by Americans was the best joke. Also very real 😮. I own the next gen Prelude for 17 yrars. Very beautiful and reliable. And good for Touge! Underrated cars
There seems to be some Honda Prelude connoisseurs here. Can anyone tell me their thoughts on a Honda Prelude 1998 with 92,283? I've been looking into getting it but been looking for opinions. :)
Just bought a European market Prelude 2.0i( year 2000, so also mk.5, the EDM version, the only one we have here, 133hp of power, quite enough for a fun drive and it accelerates to 100kmh in 9.2 seconds), also a nice low mileage(146k kilometers) and I have to say I AM BEYOND ECSTASY. It is just perfect, if you can get one, do it right away. Of course, Manual transmission is the only acceptable thing, but that goes without saying...
@@class_shift it's people like you with no repect for others that mess it up for everyone else. Be blessed man and stop fucking up the Honda scene. Shit is already to hard to find.
😭"I think I fucked up your car" but your accents make it so much better
Haha thanks!
