Love her version of both the songs. The fact that she could sing a Chaka Khan song like this speaks volumes. She did justice to the song, she nailed it. Her belting is incredible & gorgeous. Her singing abilities are remarkable. This is what real singers are made of. She's a powerful vocalist, she's charming, she has a sweet voice. Love her smile.
When you have swag & you're grooving, enjoying yourself & just a natural performer it makes the performance more special & enjoyable. Gigi is my fav. The band is really good. They're really good musicians. Love the band. She deserves recognition. David Foster should watch this performance. With a voice like hers it would be good if she's given a chance to perform in the US.

Epic voice and performance. This incredibly talented, technically flawless, joyfully expressive and gorgeous Filipino singer absolutely nails it. Great band too. This is easily the best-ever cover of the amazing 1984 Chaka Khan song, music by David Foster. Bonus, Gigi also soars with the great 1988 Brenda Russell song that follows. 3:15 - 4:41 are remarkable.
Despite me being loyal to Nina's cover of these two songs on her Nina Live performance, I am still impressed with Gigi's own rendition and style. There are significant differences on the style but both delivers. Much respect to both Nina and Gigi!
