Hi everyone, today I'll show you a process of restoration of an antique Christmas ornament, this bird was made by German glass manufacture Lauscha. THanks for watching!
You did a remarkable job restoring this beautiful old bird! I have one of these thats been in my family for at least 75 yrs and thankfully its still in 1 piece! It even still has the tail and mine has little sequin dots glued onto its tail. I pack it VERY carefully each year, wrapping it in tissue paper then bubble wrap, when I take it off my Christmas tree. Its the first thing I put on the tree every year and the last thing I take off. Thank you for this video! If my little bird ever needs repair, Ill have your video to show me how to do it!❤
Such fine intricate work. Fantastic, and fascinating to watch. I am just waiting patiently for more doll restorations. You have a wonderful gift and I thank you for sharing it with us.
Thanks a lot! Yes, they're lovely, and you're lucky you have them😍, my mother used to have a set of these birds, but unfortunately they were lost after moving to a new apartment😔
Beautiful job! I came online to see if I could find something to use as a tail feather replacement for one of my old birds and found your beautiful restoration. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
What a great restoration job! Would it be possible for you to list a complete list of materials you used to do this restoration? Also, where are you located? I am in USA so products might be different here. Thank you.
Wow, amazing. What adhesive did you put on the tail before you inserted it? And did you glue it to the glass? The tails are suppose to move back and forth inside the glass and not sure how to replace my tails with movement.
It was an epoxy glue. Actually I think the tails are supposed to be attached to the glass, some of the birds I own have them attached, but with time they just come off and begin moving)
This is amazing, such a smart technique. I have a set of glass wizard of oz ornaments, and unfortunately the tin man has broken- going to try with your method + the mirror powder.
Your skill level is on another level. Never NOT impressed with your videos. Thank you for posting!

@@IrenesDIY Thank you Irene. That makes total sense!
Amazing! Do you have any suggestions of where I can purchase replacement foot clips?
Come sempre...splendido lavoro:-)
Amazing! I would have thought it was beyond hope. Do you do restoration professionally?
Thanks! I'm not a professional, but restore antique ornaments for several years already and have a lot of experience)
Czy jest coś czego nie umiesz robic Irenko ???. Darowane od Boga złote ręce. Życzę ci sukcesów i co najmniej miliona subskrybentów .
Amazing restoration. But today I really missed your talking......
Thanks! I've decided to experiment with the sound, as this video doesn't require much explanations, and I just wanted it to be satisfying to watch))
@@IrenesDIY it was really very satisfying to watch indeed
@@subhadeepa1 thanks!!
Can I hire you to do a repair to my old Christmas ornament with a broken pike?
OMG! Where were you, ten years ago when my 1 year old cat destroyed a lot of my German glass birds.
Need more videos! You have no idea the money you can make by putting out one a week! Unless you dont like money!
I think you mean UV gel, not UF. Ultraviolet
You're right)
