@@Little_ghozt Elden ring and bloodborne aren’t souls games as well, besides the Titel says “soulsborne” which includes bloodborne, Elden ring and Sekiro
Yeah, SotE is my favorite DLC too, even with some ups and downs, its really tackles some issues I had with the main game -minor dungeons. I really love what they did with this one, not only on some cases really changes how they must be tackled, but almost all if not all of them, has a main gimmick which makes them far more memorable imo. I also feel that more percentage of boss fights are more memorable compared to the base game too. My favorite DLC so far. (Thanks Fromsoftware, now I want a Sekiro DLC 😃)
Fr I’m not seeing enough people talking about this. The side dungeons in the main game were boring and copy and pasted, but in the dlc they’re really fun and unique
A shame they didn't improve on their boss design. Instead they doubled on it and made some of the bosses even more obnoxious with their never ending combos.
Same. I am someone who has to do everything in a game, I just can't leave content on the table, so the base game dungeons got old quickly, since they felt so short and repetitive. There were some good ones of course. The DLC ones blew me away I enjoyed every single one of them since they wete all pretty long, and often had their own unique mechanics such as the curse eyes or lighting the area up. Even more surprisingly, I enjoyed almost all of their bosses. I loved both death knights, that one miserable dude who can clone himself, demi human swordsman oooze etc. I can't really think of any dungeon bosses in the base game I liked except the duelists (tbh there weren't any I hated either, at least that I can remember). My only major complaint with the dlc as a whole is that the rewards were too often underwhelming, but the actual areas and level design were great.
@anonisnoone6125 I think aside from the hippo and final boss, the bosses are a huge improvement. They demand much more mechanical skill and are so much more engaging to fight. There are far fewer builds that can cheese them, and they demand mastery from the player. Gaius has a bad hitbox too but apart from that he isn't a bad boss imo. The combo length is so long so that you are forced to attack the enemies mid combo, which makes it feel more like an actual duel, instead of simply just waiting for the combo to end, attacking, rolling away, and repeating.
Shadow Of The Erdtree is basically art, and there is just so much packed in there, easily the best DLC they ever made. I honestly doubt they can even top it in the next few years to come tbh. But they might surprise us.
Sure it looks pretty but in reality it's just big empty biomes like the cerulean coast where all u do is mundane horse riding half of the run time then find some boring cookbook as a reward for exploration
The highlights of the DLC are the legacy Dungeons and the small ones too (forges, Gaols etc), alongside the bosses besides the last one Open world wise it was mediocre besides the Gravesite Plains, just like the main game Anyone that thinks ERs open world is its selling is just outright idiotic and frankly can't objectively criticize a videogame or do some introspection ER would've been a way better game if it didn't have the boring and repetitive open world
@@Gael-x999Most of the DLC fine, it's just the cerulean coast and abyssal woods that are too empty. The hidden grave is also really bad in that regard but the rest of the overworld is fine. The finger ruins are the most empty areas but I think they are still good because of their atmosphere and environmental storytelling, like ash lake from DS1.
@theholypopechodeii4367 cerulean coast abysall woods and the 2 huge finger ruins make up over more than half of the map and all those areas are giant empty boring biomes that serve to pad the dlcs runtime
We all agree that The Old Hunters, The Ringed City and Shadow of the Erdtree HAVE to be top 3 right? You can order them however but idk how anyone can say one of the other DLCs are better than any one of those. Also... Did you not fight Laurence? Or did you forget about him? He's kinda bullshit but better than half the base game bosses and way better than Living Failures even if I'd rank Ludwig, Maria and Orphan above him. I think a lot of fans wanted a tougher Cleric Beast boss and that's what he was.
@@NoLifeKing_0 There's an argument for AoTA being more polished than Ringed City, but it depends on whether or not you like DS3 gameplay so much more.
@@NoLifeKing_0I disagree..AOTA is the best DLC cuz..you can fight artorias.. Just jokin but u have to admit ringed City is largely inspired by AOTA with the architecture, bosses and general theme, except dreg heap..

ok a really hot take here. Ringed city, despite being my second favourite dlc kinda lacks in traversal. It’s scenery is the best I’ve seen, the warped world and mausoleum are probably the most artistically inspiring places for me but 70% of the time is basically spent in two grey swamps with insufferable enemy spam. DLC’s best things are the two unforgettable fights and few minutes of wonderful scenery, the rest must be speedran and quickly forgotten as to not sour the memory of the good parts. In my opinion SOTE did a great job at not being just 2-3 bosses that you must get through insufferable enemy spam in the swamps, enemy placement and amount of content is very well placed and the scenery is so damn beautiful my god
This is exactly what ringed city is carried by a few boss fights no one ever glazes the level design I swear they haven’t played it in like 6 years and don’t remember that most of the elevels are boring swamps yet they claim shadow of the erdtree is so empty

@@blabla-fw9ix I’d put it at number 4 just because of Sister Friede, she’s really one of my faves I’m not even kidding, but I do understand the number 6 placement.
Well, I actually agree with the Top and enman, Ashes of Ariandel has the worst of DS3 kind of level design; putting Big almost empty areas with enemies and items scattered around, is like the lake Part of Liurnia, and almost 40% of the DLC. Then you have to follow (after a very nice town Part actually) a very linear path with nothing more than enemies and Some alt paths if you want Secrets ig. Only to end with a room which only gimmick is that is full of flies that inflict that disgusting worm status effect. The optional Boss is so mid that is almost remarkable, I dont even remember its name. So yeah, no wonder why is so low. The Ringed City is an steal compared. A real shame, because Friede is genuely an insanely good Boss fight and character ,that doesnt deserve to be on such DLC.
After some days of thinking that through: 1. Shadow of The Erdtree 2. The Old Hunters 3. Artorias of The Abyss 4. Ringed City 5. The Crown Trilogy 6. Ashes of Ariandel If Fromsoft made Elden Beast a very fun fight after some patches, I have no doubt they will improve the Masterpiece that is SoTE even further. Now, where's the long awaited Armored Core expansion, huh?
If I was a gambling man, I'd put money on AC content (either DLC or next game in franchise) being the next thing FromSoft releases (or at least it's 99% in development).
@@cynicle Pretty sure Armored Core will come back with more content. I'm not sure if it'll be the next big thing though, since Miyazaki confirmed there are multiple games in development. I just hope the next AC content is harder than AC6.
Nice list, in my opinion: 1. Old Hunters 2. Ringed City 3. Shadow of the Erdtree 4. Ashes of Ariandel 5. Artorias of the abyss 6. Crown of the Old Iron King 7. Crown of the Ivory King 8. Crown of the Sunken King
No surprise that Shadow of the Erdtree took the #1 spot just with the sheer amount of content in it and obviously it having its own share of banger bosses. That said, any list that consists of it, The Ringed City, and Old Hunters in the top 3 is a solid list to me. And any list that has The Ringed City over Old Hunters is excellent 😎

DS3 dlcs are overrated. Ashes of Ariandel is absolutely nothing without Friede, boring level design. Ringed City has that first gimmick section which is terrible with all the angels hounding you. The second section is a poison swamp, as if DS3 needed another one. Only good part of the DLC outside of the bosses is the level immediately after Demon Princes, before the swamp.
Yep no one ever talks about the levels in ds3 apparently the game was just a boss rush and nothing else in the game existed.. sote is the emptiest dlc apparently yet half of ringed city is swamps with like a ring to find and a dragon slayer armour again
Sote is my fav dlc but ringed city still takes boss quality for me. It just has 3 10/10 bosses that are almost impossible to dethrone. Best duo fight, best solo fight, and best dragon fight in the series
1. The Old Hunters 2. The Ringed City 3. Shadow of the Erdtree 4. Artorias of the Abyss 5. Crown of the Ivory King 6. Ashes of Ariandel 7. Crown of the Old Iron King 8. Crown of the Sunken King Can't ranking Shadow of the Erdtree at one because I think the final boss is really dissapointing
totally agree with this list. after play elden ring dlc i felt like there are alot of unfinished and cut content in the SOTE . final boss is badly design and the story ending is meh. but messmer fight was *chef kiss* peak of the dlc
I can agree with that I think the ring city is one tho bc old hunters dlc exploration isn’t that great the bosses carry it and lore but the ring city has bosses and exploration and lore
I’d rank the old hunters in 1st because it is the DLC that improves the overall package of the game the most. Since you can access it so early you can make the risky trek in to get early upgrades and weapons in a game where most weapons are found much later on. It also just never dips in quality even once. Incredible.
To me it feels so unfair to pit anything against old hunters. From beginning to end it felt like such a perfect send off to my favorite fromsoft game, along with that insane moonlight greatsword reveal turning out to be a major lore plot point. Lady maria is arguably the best duel in the franchise, and hell even the fishing village is one of the best homages to lovecraft in anything ever with an insanely hard boss to end with. And dont get me wrong i like shadow of the erdtree, and beat it a few times now but i do think its a bit overrated.
meh, i think the areas in old hunters suck. like they really suck. the bosses are great tho and i did pick it up for like 8 bucks so cant really complain there. 8 bucks for 8 hours of content is well worth it
I definitely wouldn’t say she is arguably the best. One of the better ones sure, but there are few in the series which are just clear of her. Best in bloodborne for sure
1. Artorias of The Abyss 2. Ashes of Ariandel 3. The Crown Trilogy 4. Ringed City (Gael ❤) I didn't play Bloodborne, and Elden Ring went platinum, but I didn't play dlc (I don't like elden ring)
While I do agree shadow of erdtree is the best dlc ever, I do think it fails to improve over the base game experience on many levels, from the recycled content to big empty areas with barely anything of interest (finger ruins) to exploration feeling less rewarding and finally legacy dungeons being a big step down from the base game ( except shadowkeep) , that's just my opinion
I think SOTE is better than the base game but I am a bit more critical of the base game than most. I found the level design of the non shadowkeep legacy dungeons to be very good, especially belurat, it's just that they weren't as long as stormveil/leyndell etc. I think the DLC improves hugely on the quality of the side content and bosses. In the whole dlc the only bosses I disliked were radahn phase 2, and the golden hippo, and the only other one which I think has a noticeable flaw is Gaius with his charge attack hitbox. The rest of the bosses noticeably increased the mechanical complexity required by the player, and I think in a very good way too. Aside from the rememberance bosses I really didn't care for many of the Elden Ring bosses at all, but there are so many dlc side bosses that I enjoy and I believe the rememberance boss quality is better on average. The design of the overworld was amazing too. The way all of the paths branched out and connected is insane. It's like the level design of a whole legacy dungeon but on the scale of the entire overworld, there is so much verticality. I completely agree with the underwhelming loot though. Too much of the loot is smithing atones and grave gloveworts, and that is disappointing. This connects to the empty areas point too, which I also agree with. I think the finger ruins are good since they serve as really nice setpieces for environmental storytelling, but then shit like the Abyssal woods, Cerulean coast, and charons grave straight up do not have enough loot and/or stuff to do in them.
@@theholypopechodeii4367 @theholypopechodeii4367 I do agree the new side bosses and minor dungeons are definitely a step up especially since there are no duo or trio gank bosses, about belurat I don't think it's bad it's just disappointing, it has a mix between lyndell and stormveil but it's wayy too small and doesn't have many branching paths it's kinda like a dark souls 3 level, castle ensis is a worse caria manor and it's beyond shallow, other dungeons like midra manse and enir elim are cool but again they are pretty short short and linear, base game set the standards really high About the main bosses personally I think on average they aren't better than the base game rememberance, starting from the presentation most of them don't have cutscenes, the music isn't that great on many of them ( personal taste) and one of them doesn't even have his own theme ( gaius) they feel like side bosses like tree sentinels or Loretta or crucible knights imagine commander Niall was a rememberance boss, mechanically speaking they aren't really more complex but they are much faster in movement and combos and have less delayed attacks the problem is most of them are just giant bosses or rider bosses which I don't enjoy much personally as a humanoid bosses enjoyer, scadutree avatar is the worst of the bunch for I hate that boss and it's delayed aoe spam Finally finger ruins just needed one new boss for each and more loot maybe if there was more abundance of scadu fragments it would have made exploration more worth it
You missed out Lawrence as a main boss in Old Hunters DLC. Aside from that, good video! Personal ranking would still be 1) Old Hunters 2) Ringed City = SotET 3) Artorius of Abyss 4) Dark Souls 2 crowns(combined into one)
Imo old hunters will never be topped. Sote was great but had a mediocre final boss. Also some areas kind of felt hella bland like the abyssal woods. I’d personally put Sote in second and ringed city in third for personal bias. But these 3 will always stay in top 3, just changed per person
Id have to put Old Hunters over Shadow of the Erdtree. Theres too many difficult bosses for the sake of being difficult that dont mesh well with the game mechanics along with too much emptiness in a lot of regions in the dlc. Whereas Old Hunters feels like the complete package with nothing wasted whatsoever. Amazing weapons, top tier bosses with the exception if the living failures and great lore and level design. Absolutely S tier.

If we were judging the dlc's purely in a vacuum, Shadow of the Erdtree is the best. But if we're taking into account the price I would say Shadow of the Erdtree ranks maybe 3rd or 4th. It had a lot to like, but a lot to dislike as well. There was a lot of places with little or no reason to visit. There were lazy bosses outside the main ones, and they even fumbled the last boss. For a $40 dlc that's a catastrophic mistake, and really ended the experience on a bad note. I also had performance issues, lighting issues, and bugs as well, which are unacceptable for such an expensive dlc. At $40 it's not competing with other dlc's, it's competing with entire games. I found it to be a mixed bag, whereas the Ringed City dlc was a very easy buy. I never once regretted buying it. It had a solid amount of content with a reasonable price, and it had a minimal amount of fat. It fired on all cylinders for the entire adventure and didn't overstay it's welcome.

The old Hunters was NOT worse than the ringed city ringed city doesn't properly add to the story and the level design in it is BAD, not only bad it's SHIT
Gameplay-wise SOTE is phenomenal, 9.5/10. Lore-wise it’s a mess. Were initially led to believe(in the story trailer) that messmers war in the land of shadows took place in the far distant past, so it made sense at first as to why there was no mention of this in the base game. But after playing the dlc, you quickly learn that messmer wasn’t some prehistoric entity, and he had notable presence in the lands between in fairly recent history. He was most likely involved in the carian wars, knew the carian family, knew Radagon, knew Godfrey, knew renalla. Given that the land of shadow wasn’t veiled until messmers campaign, there’s ZERO reason as to why there are no hints of messmer and the land of shadow in the base game. Really makes it feel like this dlc was made up on the spot.
Nah after I watch vaati recent lore video I couldn't disagree,, I actually really like the lore of DLC especially the lore of midrea, bayle, shaman village & miquela followers
@@baconatortheman8670 per gaius remembrance-> Messmer was an older brother figure to Radahn. And as we know, rellana and other carian soldiers joined messmer for his campaign. This means Messmer was already a powerful player in the lands between during/after the carian wars, and was around when Radagon and the golden order came to prominence.
A DLC being short doesn´t neccesarily have to make it with more quality, while Ashes of Ariandel is much shorter than the Ringed City, I consider it with much worse quality in comparison.
SOTE is 120% quantity 80% quality, there are a couple stinker bosses (as with every fromsoft dlc actually) and the constant crafting drops from the loot pool do get a bit annoying, but once you actually take some time to learn it, majority of the main bosses are incredibly well made
I mean it has better content and it’s bigger than all other fromsoft dlcs combined. That alone makes it better, more build variety, weapons, armors, bosses, places to explore etc.
You must love the exploration in ringed city so much wow I love how half of it is swamps and totally not carried by a few boss fights right? There’s like 3 new enemy’s in the whole dlc a few new weapons the dlc always looks the exact same every time you look at it.. I’d rather look at the 20 different skyboxs of elden ring dlc that always looks different and makes me want to keep playing ds3 is the most grey and soulless game in the series, no one brings up anything but Gael or midir 😂 a few boss fights don’t make a game..
Feeling a lot of SOTE recency bias. It’s fantastic but absolutely no way it beats Old Hunters for me. The thing that kills sote IS the fragment system. I’m just not a fan of having to go out of the way to collect items to artificially bolster my character. It’s necessary due to being able to fight basically any of the DLC bosses from the jump, but it might keep me from replaying it again because collecting all of those fragments has been a chore. Otherwise the bosses are great and content-wise it’s fantastic. But OH is just special man… Edit- the remembrance bosses are great, but there’s far too many npc bosses and reused assets from the main game, but I understand it’s a necessity for budget limits and time constraints
@@HeyTarnished Yes, but at least I can admit that. I just prefer linear, smaller area-focused gameplay with a boss at the end. Shadow Keep, for example, is absolutely peak and easily one of my top 3 areas in souls ever.
Hi
The highlights of the DLC are the legacy Dungeons and the small ones too (forges, Gaols etc), alongside the bosses besides the last one
Open world wise it was mediocre besides the Gravesite Plains, just like the main game
Anyone that thinks ERs open world is its selling is just outright idiotic and frankly can't objectively criticize a videogame or do some introspection
ER would've been a way better game if it didn't have the boring and repetitive open world
@@Gael-x999Most of the DLC fine, it's just the cerulean coast and abyssal woods that are too empty. The hidden grave is also really bad in that regard but the rest of the overworld is fine. The finger ruins are the most empty areas but I think they are still good because of their atmosphere and environmental storytelling, like ash lake from DS1.
@@theholypopechodeii4367you just described more than half of all areas😂

We all agree that The Old Hunters, The Ringed City and Shadow of the Erdtree HAVE to be top 3 right? You can order them however but idk how anyone can say one of the other DLCs are better than any one of those.
Also... Did you not fight Laurence? Or did you forget about him? He's kinda bullshit but better than half the base game bosses and way better than Living Failures even if I'd rank Ludwig, Maria and Orphan above him. I think a lot of fans wanted a tougher Cleric Beast boss and that's what he was.

ok a really hot take here. In my opinion SOTE did a great job at not being just 2-3 bosses that you must get through insufferable enemy spam in the swamps, enemy placement and amount of content is very well placed and the scenery is so damn beautiful my god
i think they wanted it to be more open and if you look at the interiors of leyndell capital buildings they look similar

Well, I actually agree with the Top and enman, Ashes of Ariandel has the worst of DS3 kind of level design; putting Big almost empty areas with enemies and items scattered around, is like the lake Part of Liurnia, and almost 40% of the DLC. If SotE had less repeated content and more consistent scadutree locations then it’d be the best
I’d rank the old hunters in 1st because it is the DLC that improves the overall package of the game the most. Since you can access it so early you can make the risky trek in to get early upgrades and weapons in a game where most weapons are found much later on. It also just never dips in quality even once. Incredible.
Did you left out Laurence from old hunters on purpose or you missed his fight?
To me it feels so unfair to pit anything against old hunters. From beginning to end it felt like such a perfect send off to my favorite fromsoft game, along with that insane moonlight greatsword reveal turning out to be a major lore plot point. Lady maria is arguably the best duel in the franchise, and hell even the fishing village is one of the best homages to lovecraft in anything ever with an insanely hard boss to end with. And dont get me wrong i like shadow of the erdtree, and beat it a few times now but i do think its a bit overrated.
I wish Lady Maria was harder, she is fun but man Friede feels like what I wanted the Maria fight to be. The best duel in BB was still Gherman imo.
meh, i think the areas in old hunters suck. like they really suck. the bosses are great tho and i did pick it up for like 8 bucks so cant really complain there. 8 bucks for 8 hours of content is well worth it

Rellana, messmer, midra n radahn are respectively the hornet, nightmare king grimm, pure vessel n absolute radiance from elden ring.
@@theholypopechodeii4367 @theholypopechodeii4367 I do agree the new side bosses and minor dungeons are definitely a step up especially since there are no duo or trio gank bosses,
about belurat I don't think it's bad it's just disappointing, it has a mix between lyndell and stormveil but it's wayy too small and doesn't have many branching paths it's kinda like a dark souls 3 level, castle ensis is a worse caria manor and it's beyond shallow, other dungeons like midra manse and enir elim are cool but again they are pretty short short and linear, base game set the standards really high
About the main bosses personally I think on average they aren't better than the base game rememberance, starting from the presentation most of them don't have cutscenes, the music isn't that great on many of them ( personal taste) and one of them doesn't even have his own theme ( gaius) they feel like side bosses like tree sentinels or Loretta or crucible knights imagine commander Niall was a rememberance boss, mechanically speaking they aren't really more complex but they are much faster in movement and combos and have less delayed attacks the problem is most of them are just giant bosses or rider bosses which I don't enjoy much personally as a humanoid bosses enjoyer, scadutree avatar is the worst of the bunch for I hate that boss and it's delayed aoe spam
Finally finger ruins just needed one new boss for each and more loot maybe if there was more abundance of scadu fragments it would have made exploration more worth it

Aoa ($15 on release for 1.5 bosses 2 areas a few enemy’s and weapons basically a scam on release just cause it has one good boss doesn’t mean it isnt objectively the worst dlc they have made for price and content) anyone saying shadow of the erdtree is the worst Fromsoft dlc are actually 🤡 they can like ringed city or old hunters more but I just really think it’s not even close especially comparing ringed city a few minutes of boss fights do not make it better, exploring the shadow keep is more interesting then anything in ds3 dlcs or even ds3 in general, but midir and Gael though..
Personally i think bayle is the best boss in the series
do u have a jjk youtube channel?
1. Old Hunters
2. Shadow of the Erdtree/the riged City (can't decide)
3.Crown of the old iron king
4. Artorias of the abyss
5. Crown of the burnt ivory King
6. Crown of the sunken king
7. Ashes of Ariendel
All bangers in my opinion
Yes this is my ranking too. Ahh sister friede kills it but better than the sunken king imo
Bro no way you put elden rings dlc above ringed city and old hunters. Both of those dlcs made the main game better, while sote made elden ring worse for so many ppl. And talking about length and counting the bosses makes no sense. Sote took 2 years to make, and it costs way more than the other dlcs.
It sote made elden ring worse other then people crying about lore then you actually have brain rot

ancient wyvern best boss of all time, its an objective fact, its better than even midir
i’d say
1. old hunters
2. ringed city
3. SOTE why the fuck don’t i get scadutree fragments from optional bosses
4. Ashes of Ariandelle (friede’s the best ds3 boss)
5. Artorias of the Abyss
6. Crown of the Old Iron King
7. Crown of the Sunken King
8. Crown of the old ivory king
SOTE at 4? 😂 book yourself a place at the mental hospital
I think that putting Ariandelle higher then SOTE is a federal crime in many countries
SOTE is prolly the most overrated dlc ngl honeymoon phase goes hard
@@Yukinspike i feel like it's the opposite, people get stuck on a boss or they don't find their way to a certain area and say that the game is trash and the world sucks
@@qyeti4785 might be a bit off both honestly dlcs like a 6 or 7 in reality tho
The best is The Old Hunters its just full circle, then The Ringed City about as good not quite and less unique, and then Shadow of the Erdtree with some very cool things, but nothing really unique, very repetitive and a lot of stuff executed wrong, like the ending and final boss for example.
Holy shit ds2 graphics are absolute donkey dick. It’s hard to believe that game was made by the same studio that brought us sekiro, bloodborne, elden ring, etc etc. My god everything about that game is a travesty
You should look up the crazy lighting mods on pc for ds2 now it looks amazing now
Sekiro should have a dlc
I want to like this vid, but you put crown of iron king too high, I agree it has great scenery and thats it
I'm gonna be honest, Soulsborne (outside of The Old Hunters) doesn't do DLC's well at all, almost all the souls dlc are shite and are overpriced as hell.
Nah bro, the best boss is The Bed of Chaos 💀💀💀
The old Hunters was NOT worse than the ringed city
ringed city doesn't properly add to the story and the level design in it is BAD, not only bad it's SHIT
@@garciasth217in terms of lore I do feel that hornsent culture, midra, metyr, bayle were the highlights of the dlc.
messmers campaign took place before the golden order and was hidden by marika since it was sinful
@@bigsmall2842Messmer was basically imprisoned in the lands of shadow I think.
Quality over quantity❌
Quantity over quality✅
Not saying the big dlcs are bad just noticed that he doesn’t really like it when the dlcs are short😂
A DLC being short doesn´t neccesarily have to make it with more quality, while Ashes of Ariandel is much shorter than the Ringed City, I consider it with much worse quality in comparison.
@@JoseViktor4099 it feels like Ashes was meant to be apart of the Ringed City dlc, but bandai pushed them to release it early as a seperate dlc
How about quality and quantity. That is good, right?
SOTE is 120% quantity 80% quality, there are a couple stinker bosses (as with every fromsoft dlc actually) and the constant crafting drops from the loot pool do get a bit annoying, but once you actually take some time to learn it, majority of the main bosses are incredibly well made
Sote is quantity AND quality which is why it’s amazing
Putting shadow of the erdtree above ringed city and old hunters is wild
Putting ringed city and old hunters over SOTE is even more wild
@@yaketsukuzu6478 lol
The fentanyl must be strong if the elden ring dlc is at 1💀 (its 3rd after ringed City and the gigachad old hunters)
You should always be open to something that can replace your current 1st place, stupid mindset
Ringed City is mid asf outside Gael and Midir
Didn't read a single molecule
Iron Crown ti high, all DS2 DLCs are boring and inspiring with no creativity behind.
But OH is just special man…
Edit- the remembrance bosses are great, but there’s far too many npc bosses and reused assets from the main game, but I understand it’s a necessity for budget limits and time constraints
And I'm reading nostalgia from your comment.
@@HeyTarnished Yes, but at least I can admit that.
I just prefer linear, smaller area-focused gameplay with a boss at the end. Shadow Keep, for example, is absolutely peak and easily one of my top 3 areas in souls ever. The way it connects to the other sections of the map is just 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
And that it’s vertically expansive rather than just wide, really cool area.
But I think the hype will fade eventually. When Ivory King came out everybody glazed it, now it’s seen in retrospect as pretty terrible. SOTE’s a billion times better than that, but it seems like people get ahead of themselves with the shiny and new excitement.
I hope it remains your favorite dlc forever though, I’m genuinely glad you enjoyed it and had fun!
@@Yee-Haw-MMA I see, but what makes you say "but it seems like people get ahead of themselves with the shiny and new excitement" though?
@@HeyTarnished My previous example. When ivory king came out for Dark Souls 2, it was regarded as the best from soft content ever, same with iron king and even Elden Ring when it first launched. The new thing is always called “the best ever” until some time passes and the bias is gone.
Tbf I have a lot of nostalgia for Ringed City, but I thing Shadow of the Erdtree blows it out of the water.
@@Yee-Haw-MMA No don't get me wrong, if you genuinely think Ringed City or Old Hunters are better, feel free to say them, it's all good, I've beaten both those DLCs around 30 times each, and I love them so much, I still have them close to my heart even the base game Elden Ring, I just think those DLCs got outdone by SOTE, and ofc SOTE has flaws like any FromSoft game or DLC.
Laurence makes me mad
i lovee how u didnt even mention Laurence in the old hunters dlc probably cuz he sucks imo lmoa
Don’t know how you can base so much of your opinion on quantity. Yeah shadow of the erdtree is the biggest dlc they’ve made, but it doesn’t matter how big it is if you’re only having fun 40% of the time.

Are you serious? Lion Dancer, Rellana, Messmer, Midra, Romina, Bayle, Putrescent Knight, Scadutree Avatar & Promised Consort.
Yes Metyr & Commander Giaus were underwhelming, but let’s not act like Old Hunters & Ringed City didn’t have trash bosses too, SOTE overall trumps both of the DLCs.

A lot of the bosses in the ER dlc do way too much. They'll dance around doing nonstop combos and I can only get in a couple of hits. And before anyone says u can hit in between their combos, yes u can, but the windows r so small that if ur a moment too late, u get hit. And at the end of the combo, I can only get in 2 hits before they start anything again.

The glaze for SoTE is insane to me, huge empty biomes, lame last boss, no actual lore explanations to the most asked questions like the GEQ and OK legacy Dungeons
It's a very inconsistent DLC
Old Hunters is by far Fromsoft's best DLC work yet, consistently top tier, great lore, great areas, great bosses, great gear, great music, visuals, atmosphere, vibes, everything - it literally has no drawbacks
Shadow of the Erdtree is great but the biggest problem is too much damage from bosses.
