This mode is very crazy. This is the first time that I played such a mode on a fighting game like that.
If I didn't configure my laptop, in other to play PS4 version by keyboard, I won't have a crazy video like that.
Oh man, my hands hurt!
After some bad attempts of death, I finally got this one.
Thanks for watching my adventure of discovering all character's story on this game.

Loving how they gave Mokou so much screen time in this game.
One of the few Final Cards that are a Survival Card that make sense : it's not the timer that counts, it's the life bar, because Mokou is DESTROYING HERSELF during the attack!

Mokou is the first-ever tree-time extra boss though (IN, STB, ULiL)!
I wasn't counting Shoot the Bullet nor Double Spoiler because they have EX stages with, basically, teams of bosses. If I did, then Marisa would count as well.
Marisa still wins, technically; Seihou and Great Fairy Wars.
Damn, the fights were intense especislly with Mokou's. Glad she's the final boss for the extra story part since she's an extra stage boss herself.
Great skills dude, I'm pretty sure you could have done runs without getting hit at all!!

so, a new mode altogether staring my all time favorite character, with brand new spellcards, finished with an epic fight against my main.

First create an account in JAPANESE SONY OFFICIAL WEBSITE. Use it to log it into PS4 machine. PS4 machine allows multiple accounts, so just add it.
Log in with new Japanese account. Buy a gift code at least 5000 yen, and add it.
Find this game on Playstation Store (Remember ya must keep logging in with Japanese Account! So that ya can find it on Store). Buy it and play the game.
BTW, I'm not from NA. I'm a Vietnamese who love Touhou series.
You can buy a physical copy as well and it isn't region locked, so it works on NA PS4s. Proof is that I bought a copy

I have attempted to find the ending's script but nothing came up so I typed it out myself.
And I also tried to translate the ending with the help of Deepl and Google with some obvious corrections to the machine translation.
Still, keep in mind that I don't know Japanese and it might be wrong on some things.
But regardless of this translation, people at least have to be able to translate it themselves if they wanted to without wasting too much time trying to find every kanji by the videos (like I did).
I'm posting this so that the people who would want to experience the franchise (chronologically especially) and somehow find this comment can enjoy Touhou to the best of their abilities.
The Ending
決着は着いた。
軍配は辛うじて月の兎に上がった。
とはえ相手は不死身の怪ものだ。
待久戦となればまず勝らめは無い。
しかし勝負は意外な出来事で决着した。
闘っていた筈の妹紅は突然、霊夢に戻ってすまったのだ。
霊夢は痛がっているが、二人とも何が起きたのかまるで判らなかった。
霊夢は混乱していたが鈴仙が熱心に事態を説明し続けたら少しずつ受け入れていったいようだった。
一体、何が起きたというのだろう。
神子は「都市伝説を利用している奴が影響を受けている」と言ったが......
ということは、さっきの出来事は都市伝説異変の影響なのだろうか。
鈴仙はこの事をお師匠様に報奨した。
鈴仙が冷静さを保てていたのは、心の何処かで都市伝説異変はお師匠様の領分だと思っていたからだ。
自分が慌てても何も出来ない。
放って置けば解决する。
判らない事象は師匠様が解决すると。
しかし今回の出来事を報告してその受定は脆くも崩れ落らた。
それはお師匠様にも見当が行かない下測の事態だった。
恐らく幻想郷独自の問題であり月の民とは一切関係ない。
だから地上の民が調査し、解决する、と。
そう冷たく言い放った。
そうだった、永遠亭は中立なのだ。
しかし、鈴仙は思った。
私はその解决に垂り気だった。
もう私は中立ではない。
すでに地上の異変が生活に影響する地上の兎の一四なのだから。
And the translation
It was settled.
The battle was barely decided in favor of the moon rabbit.
But her opponent was an immortal monster.
If the fight goes on for a long time, there is no way she can win.
However, the game ended in a surprising twist.
Mokou, who was supposed to be fighting, suddenly turned back into Reimu.
Reimu was in pain, but neither of them knew what had happened.
Reimu was confused but seemed to be slowly coming to terms with it as Reisen continued to explain the situation to her.
What the hell happened?
Shrine maiden said, "People who are using urban legends are affected" ......
So, is what happened earlier an effect of the urban legend incident?
Reisen reported this to her master.
The reason why Reisen was able to keep her cool was because somewhere in her mind, she thought that the urban legend incident was the domain of her master.
If I panic, there's nothing I can do.
If you leave it alone, it will budge.
If you don't know what's going on, the Master will figure it out.
But when I reported what had happened, that understanding was shattered.
It was an unforeseen situation that even the Master had no idea about.
It was probably a problem unique to Gensokyo and had nothing to do with the people of the moon.
That's why the people on the ground will investigate and solve the problem.
She said coldly.
That's right, Eientei is neutral.
However, Reisen thought.
I'm not going to be neutral anymore.
I am no longer neutral.
I'm already one of those rabbits on earth whose lives are affected by the earthly incidents.

Does anyone else find it ironic that Reisen uses her gun to fire literally everything except the bullets? I mean, the fact that her finger pistols fire real bullets is awesome and all, but if you have a magical transforming wave motion blunderbuss pistol it should at least be capable of being an actual gun too...

I think in terms of life, it would be Mokou because she's immortal. But if it is in terms of power, I'd bet Utsuho because she possesses a nuclear power, something I think that is more powerful than a fire of a immortal phoenix. But, kek I don't know.

Mokou is so fucking cool, Jesus christ. If Remilia makes an appearance in 15.5, on top of Byakuren, Koishi, and the god of character design that is Mokou, I'll probably never play anything else ever again.

Mokou's final spell reminds me a bit of the final spell went when facing young/pre-Windows Alice in in the fanmade game Mystic Records. I love it so much.

Yeesh, this extra mode looks intense. I'm loving the new spell cards and music arranges though. Dunno why they decided to put the final boss theme for Hisoutensoku as the theme for the Mokou fight though, not that I'm complaining.
Some spellcards I thought were neat from each character:
Reimu: Her last spell
Byakuren: All of it. Indra's Vajra, Superhuman "Byakuren Hijiri", Buddhust Rider, it's just amazing. Especially her riding away after the bout.
Miko: Bloody Mantle.Tthe first one.
Mokou: Flame Sign "Phoenix's Wings", "Desperate Claw", Regretful Life "Immortality's Reckless Sacrifice" (didn't expect an ISC spell card here), and that amazing last spell holy crap! Yuyuko, Eirin, Kaguya, Suika, Tenshi, Suwako, Kokoro, Sumireko, fade into the background, because Mokou just took first place by a large margin. 10/10 that whole fight.
Also, at the end after the credits, I'm not sure what was being talked about exactly, but I did see Mokou and Reimu being talked about, and Gensoukyou too. We already knew something big is going on right now in Gensoukyou, but with the way that epilogue was written, things might be bigger than I thought.
Either that or I'm just fanboying too hard and looking into it too much.
It looks like that the incident has brought Gensoukyou new trouble again...

Glory to Mokou, two-time extra boss and follower of the Way of Vegeta. She really deserves her own spin-off game... maybe one where she climbs Youkai Mountain to speak with Iwanagahime at the top and attain closure for the mission she never completed. It's been spoken of in print sources as a thing she's been thinking of doing (Cage in Lunatic Runagate, Ch. 4). I quietly pray for such an announcement; Mokou has been a consistently popular character, and she's my favorite.
You know the REALLY FUNNY part of this Mokou encounter for me, now? According to the Touhou wiki translation, the moment the intro music stops and before Unknown X kicks in, she says, "Maybe I oughta give you *a bad time* here. How's that sound?" [Cue Undertale's MEGALOVANIA for the bad times... man, I wanna see a shitpost for that.]

Well, Oh Shizz, that whole Extra was awesome but Mokou seriously takes the cake, what the hell was that last spell card even, name please or is it her last word? Anyway this just makes me more excited for a MinusT animation with Mokou, so many possible ways to make that animation interesting, GAHAHAHA, Mokou was already at my #1 fav character now she makes it even harder to take that position away from her now.

I'm a little disappointed that they never included this part in Touhou 15.5. It seemed like the story was missing something. Touhou 15.5 itself is a little bit too easy even on Lunatic mode compared to 13.5 and 14.5, also felt a bit short.

Ya need a Japanese PSN account, so that ya can access this game to buy in Playstation Store.
Playstation allows us to have multiple accounts, so that ya can add another account into machine. But ya can log in only one account!
After add Japanese Account, find this game in Playstation Store. Remember the account is Japanese, so that the language in Playstation is Japanese, too. If ya want to search, ya have to search by Japanese. So it will take time to find it.
This game costs 4120 yen. So if ya want to buy it, first find the gift code 5000 yen for JAPANESE ONLY!!! (Be very careful because there are also the gift code for USA). Add it into your Japanese account, and use it to buy this game.

It's a long story.
So, the events of Reisen's story here take place AFTER Reimu saved Gensokyo's Barrier from being destroyed by the Occult Orbs that Sumireko used. According to some translations (which I'm not sure are accurate or not yet), apparently there's a new incident going around in Gensokyo: "Perfect Possession", where one is taken over by another person in mind and body. This happened right at the end here, where Reimu was possessed by Fujiwara no Mokou.
This is basically a prologue to Touhou 15.5, "Antimony of Common Flowers".

Well I heard that Sumireko might appear in extra stage…is it true…? What I know is that there are two trophies.One is earned when you defeat Extra Mokou.But another one is earned when you defeat Extra Sumireko...
Besides,you should play Extra again.I think the final boss is randomly chosen. Maybe the next boss is Sumireko...
