@Arnulfo Torres I think it's because a lot of Taurus are scared of true intimacy since they feel like they tend to fail so they give up before hand and make sure nothing hurts them by not even trying basically they are scared of love and defend themselves with humor, I personally know a lot of taurus with gemini venus placement though so it might be the combination of taurus and gemini that makes it really difficult for them not to avoid love.
