"the growth opportunity is not about finding and selling to customers but about making " um... yeah marketing DID make 'customer'... you even mentioned HOW past marketing has made them ... both because marketing wanted it that way and as a rebellion against corporations shoving marketing down our throats.
'demanding, distracted, have no attention spam, they don't understand your product or turn up on time they haggle irrationally and forget to complete the sales process'
    let's break that down.
    distracted / attention spans
    - corporations have made us this way to sucker buyers in. placate the audience and have them buy things based on key words and manipulative marketing. the entire internet has been inundated with mind numbing marketing on purpose; not a consumer choice.
understanding product / turn up on time / complete the sales process
    - product understanding is on the corporation not the consumer. same with "turning up on time" and complete sale. don't pass the buck on the consumer because the corporation sucks at marketing sales, that their products suck, and their marketing can not capture a more wealthy audience.
    demanding / haggle 'irrationally'
    - this is consumer self preservation. a consumer base that knows what they want, doesn't want the trash companies are making, doesn't find the 'value pricing' model acceptable, KNOWS the prices are profiteering and gouging. to call this kind of consumer 'irrational' speaks volumes to YOUR treatment of the consumer; and that is that you want the aforementioned consumer "distracted / attention spans".
additionally, it is hilarious that we think that there is any sense of supply and demand when these corporations are admitting to "making" customers.
