Cali turned two on December 20th and we celebrated the occasion at the cabin. Our Golden Retriever is the star of the channel and her many fans have been sending her gifts, including toys, clothing and dog treats. Includes video footage and photographs of her growing up, from the day we picked her up at 7 weeks old, exploring the wilderness, looking for property for the cabin, canoeing, swimming and more.

CZYK Republic. We’ve had numerous Golden’s it seems that no matter how dirty they get, once they dry out, they are almost self cleaning. They golden coat amazing.
I've had two in a row and agree. Only downside is their shedding. But I got used to that. Positives outweigh the negative.

Shawn, best video posted to date. I lost my best mate 'Bear' just over a year ago & broke my heart. My current best friend is 'Pippa', a Husky cross Rough Collie who I rescued from death row. She's a gorgeous girl who I swear is the perfect example of unconditional love. More videos of Cali please, she's a beautiful girl!

Happy birthday Cali!!! Because of Cali I bought my little Golden dog named "Mia" and today is her 3th "monthday"
Good job I used to be indifferent to dogs and never wanted pets. Now after adopting a friends dog that was "uncontrollable" and was going to be put down because he could only take one dog with him when he moved. 3 years later and i couldn't imagine not having one i trained him properly and he goes with me everywhere. A bit of proper attention and training will do wonders even for problem dogs.

I was just watching one of your more recent videos and couldn't help but notice how much more mature she's become. She was waiting patiently while you chopped wood and instead of chasing all the chips she just gave you space and waited until you were ready to throw the toy. I have a golden lab x named Luna that looks a lot like cali. She helps me when dealing with aggressive dogs. She's retired now though. 13, still acts like a puppy, not an ounce of grey. I feel like I got lucky. I've worked at a rescue shelter for 10 years now. I've nearly seen it all. Brought dogs back from horrific neglect and had dogs die in my arms. You never get used to it, but you never don't want to be around them. I feel like it's more about the life we can give to them, rather than what they give to us. Cali has the life!

Sean our dogs have such short lives to live and it's our responsibilities as humans to make sure that that short life is the best life that dog could possibly have and you have done that do you have done that and you will continue doing that I think as humans are the only thing we can do show our dogs love for the short time that they're here and the best life possible thank you for being an animal lover God bless
I had a golden retriever/lab mix. Great personality. Easily trained. He also started having seizures due to epilepsy at just before 2 years of age. We were told it's common amongst both breeds. It's definitely difficult to manage/watch. I'm glad you've found Cali. She's a doll! Love our videos.

Losing Bella back in 2004 is the only time I saw father cry . She developed a tumor and was 9 years . I love them labs ! They love to lay in the sun and shade and water and snow . I couldn’t keep mine out of the water , soon as I turn my head all I hear is splash , lol. Miss her
