Probably Unifi Talk is one of your best solution. How hard would a VoIP ATA with PoE be? That is the #1 accessory that VoIP systems lack and is one less power wire to run or outlet to take up. Or a 3ft PoE accessory cable or something. Revolutionize the ATA
To what? Why would I need an ATA with PoE as it has to provide dial tone at 48v. I suppose it would also be cool to run a server via PoE.....just sayin. So, to answer your question, unless you change the PoE(+) from a max of 54 volts, passing 48v through and also maintaining itself would be about impossible (then we talk about voltage subscriptions per port)...unless like many Unifi things you have a special injector that is not based off of an industry-standard...but, we are back to...why.
@@systemsbroken well, all other ATAs that are industry standard, Grandstream HT801, Cisco SPA112 and SPA191, Polycom OBi100, etc. are powered from 12v or 5v DC 0.5A wall-warts. I can get a 3rd party PoE injector and place ATAs anywhere a network jack is located and not worry about power. Even raspberry pis run off PoE. So what I am asking is not revolutionary. There are ways to go about it. Everyone just wants less cords to tangle up. I would simply like to have PoE integrated into the device rather than a 3rd party accessory.

I would love to use these phones in our businesses but I don't like the monthly plan. I want to use the features but retain my local landline, the opposute of your adapter thingy.
the flex phone has no way to change the clock from 24-hour to 12-hour. You cant display the assigned user's name on the flex phone despite being able to on the touch and the max. there is no call parking, no softphone app, and unifi talk overall is SUPER barebones. if your onsite controller goes down or offline everything stops working or at the very least, you'll only have internal calling. unifi has a long way to go, feature-wise before I could recommend this to a business. Unifi has also been terrible at communicating how/if they plan to make improvements, and what those improvements are. As a company they seem to have a short attention span and when something is not of immediate interest to them, it gets ignored for a long time.
Ubiquiti, Do you have phone recording capability as of now on these phones? We've been with Vonage Business for about 4 years, and they have discontinued servicing small businesses, they are only providing support for large businesses and with over $250.00 a month, we are looking at changing.
Can I use the UniFi Talk devices on my network only? No phone numbers associated to any devices but able to communicate with other UniFi phones on the same network without phone numbers (just extensions)? I plan on using them internally only with zero phone numbers.
you are required to register at least one phone number for your talk environment. after that's done, yeah you could set it up with all phones under the one number and assign extensions to each that will allow internal calling. I'm not sure if there's a way yet to prevent calls from outside your network or to prevent calls from being made out yet.
Thanks, EA items are subject to change as they are still in development. We'll be sure to include the latest in a future update. We appreciate your feedback as we've updated the details section to properly reflect. Thank you.
