I don't like the sponsoring and promotion of products that are not sustainably responsible and for which you don't know the working condition. Of course there is less known about these issues as it is not preferable for a company to let the world know they are polluting and abusing, but you can't rule out it happening, especially when the price is low. I searched up recently about why it is that time feels like it's going quicker as you get older, and it's bc you are typically having fewer and fewer new experiences, so when you come to think back on what you did in the day/week.. then there are fewer memorable bits that stand out, so you feel like you've done pretty little and it's a blur. So the moral is, try new things (even if that is switching up walking routes, or meals) and add in bits of spontaneity! Lots of love, Jade

It sounds strange, but I also thought about it in terms of fractions? Like, when you're like 7 years old, you're living 1/7th of your life in a year. But when you're say, 24 like me, you're living 1/24th of your life. That's a much smaller fraction! Idk just something I thought about

Honestly why do so many men get off on making women uncomfortable? So when people complain about how we don’t need feminism nowadays in this country, this is why. Obviously there are some lovely men as well but these other men really drag down their gender. Ps reminder not to record your running routes on apps or to have people you dont know that well on snap maps, stay safe and keep your earphones at a reasonable volume in case someone tries to attack you
Snapmap is so creepy. You can zoom in all the way and it shows the exact house you are in. Terrifying. I turned that off right away.

the same thing happened to me when I was watching the sunset the other day on a bridge by myself, some random man just started cussing at me and spitting in my direction for no reason. I don't think he had a home nor was he in his right mind, but I had to get up and leave because of him. it's hard to be a woman and enjoy casual magic alone

I'm honestly so scared to walk alone as a woman :((( I wish I could be more empowered and brave, but for the moment and because of all the horrible stories I've heard happened to women since I was little... I'm just naturally scared to chill by myself and that something like this happens to me, even if it has a "happy" ending. So frustrating!! I want to be less scared though, because I don't want to not be able to live my life like I want to because of fear... Wish me luck

I completely understand, I've been though the same thing! I'm still scared a little to go out alone, but it helped me to take short, frequent walks in places where I felt safe and before I knew it I gained so much confidence! Now my motto is that no matter how brave I am I will never be completely safe, but as long as I take precautions to mitigate the risk there's no reason to live in fear.

Actually men get attacked more at night and are more likely to be a victim of crime robbery, house breaking etc. Due to women being physically weaker it has led to more crimes where a women is attacked getting more traction. No one is safe really

I was literally holding my breath when you were getting out of there.
Me, a native pessimistic person, started embracing all those little things and it happened that every time I do that, I start crying. I get so emotional and it’s so great to be able to see the sun everyday or to appreciate the fact (in my case) that you go to the university in Milan (which I’ve always loved and where I would like to live in). So many great things, so much divinity in our lives that we should start appreciate more

i've been using your casual magic idea since 2019--i love it!! my day just started but my casual magic so far is that i just washed my hair and got to use this moisturizer that makes it so soft (i ran out of it a few months ago and hadn't replaced it lol)

I love how real this video is and that you kept that part in. I am very joyful and grateful for my life and for tiny things, so whenever I share this on social media, my friend and followers think that I come from a rich family and have everything that I want and don’t have to put effort in, that my life doesn’t have flaws and I never experienced anything bad. But I am Turkish, I studied in Turkey, Antalya, which is a heaven on earth, but every day I was talking a walk I got catcalled, I saw news where when got killed, I shared black and white pictures of them because that was all I could do. I saw poor children not being able to study, but I gave them some of the money I had, I didn’t have much, but instead of going out a few times with my friends, I spent my money on something good. That gave me joy.
You don’t have to have the perfect life, because in fact, it doesn’t exist. But you can create your perfect life by appreciating small things and do your best to change the bad ones 🌞❤️
This was a much needed video. I used to be a pretty loving, caring, optimistic, and postive person. I used to be someone who was constantly finding beauty and joy in the most mundane things in life. Unfortunately, I hit an all time low this year. Depression is a deadly, scary thing. Nothing feels good anymore. Though I'm healing, I feel like I've lost some of the magic I had in myself. I want to go back to the person I was. This video is literally speaking to me, it's as if you knew what I was thinking about Jade. ❤☺

my day has only just started, but yesterday's casual magic was finding a new crochet stitch that let's me connect squares together and keeps it flat! a lil niche but it brings me lots of joy!!
this video reminds me of this YA book called Love From A to Z (its literally one of my favourite books of all time) its basically written in the form of a journal (it switches between the perspecrives of two muslim teens who happen to have the same journal by chance) in which they record one "marvel" ie something you appreciate in your day aka casual magic, and you would also write an "oddity" which is like something you didn't really like (so one marvel "good thing" for every oddity "bad thing". its such a good book, it has really good muslim representation as well as a wonderful plot,,,, it really helped me appreciate life more (i explained this book really poorly and didnt do it any justice but its honestly so good) also lovely video jade as always 🥰

Here is another way to romanticise your life: decide who you are, whether it is a queen, an artist, a rebel or an adventurer, anything that feels right. Live and behave accordingly. Who cares if people do not recognise it, society is only convention anyway and someone who has the eyes to see that you are a queen worth dying for, an artist with unique genius or a hero striving to make the world better each day, will value you.

Yesterday I appreciated every moment because I was with a mate cycling at a National Park. I’m glad National Parks are a thing: nature is really important. A friend with me, doing exercise, among the trees, I felt alive and happy and optimistic about life, despite all the ups and downs I have experienced in the last few years. This idea of casual magic is one which comes very naturally to me and I find joy in small things but other people have a problem with my lack of ambition and life goals and see me as lazy. I don't have a dream career or any big aims, and I live very day to day and I wish more people were accepting of this. Not having big life goals is not a problem that you need to fix in yourself in my opinion. That's why I loved the film Soul so much because I felt that it touched upon this subject that isn't explored a lot.

The other day I decided to take a walk in the woods just so that I could run away from all the hustle and bustle of the city life for a bit and enjoy nature. And as I stepped into the forest, I caught a glimpse of some older men standing in the distance. And even though I didn’t know whether they had any malicious intentions towards me or not , I just walked away as fast as possible. It was instinctive. It’s like ,being a girl/a woman, you get used to the fact that you are always in some kind of a danger and you get used to acting accordingly .But it’s just not okay.It’s not okay that we can’t so much as take a stroll in the forest and appreciate the nature around us without being afraid of what might happen to us.
Anywaysss, all of this is not going to ruin my ✨casual magic✨ summer . Yesterday I went running in the rain and it felt ethereal ✨

But recently I’ve been trying to accept the things the way they are.. I am a human and I’m learning how to handle everything everyday.. I am feeling a little empowered of my emotions this way lately and then one day I was listening to this amazing banger and I was just suddenly so happy that something like music exists and the way our bodies react to it in a way we groove.. Thank you for this! My casual magic today was going on a walk alone in a nice park after visiting my family and having no alone time for about two weeks. It was so magical!! Interestingly enough, I've been walking in this same park in the past and have had a drunk creepy man harass me in an area that was pretty small and where no one else would see me. Even though this is so infuriating and happens way too often, I am not going to let the creeps keep me from magical moments in this park!!! The sad thing is that you just have to stay positive and hope nothing really bad ever happens to you. To be a woman at all is to be brave in the world we live in.

I don't know if you've ever read How do you live? by Genzaburo Yoshino but theres a translated version now out in the uk, it's so beautful and deals with what it means to be human. 'The things that you feel most deeply, from the very bottom of your heart, will never deceive you in the slightest'. It just immediatly reminded me of this casual magic concept.

My own special kind of casual magic are the clouds .People tend to look down while walking because of safety issues or probably just their phones ...so a while ago I just randomly started observing the sky and the clouds , their shapes and what they remind me of . Not many planets have the same beautiful sky as ours does and it is a shame that we just forget about the beauty that hangs over our heads every minute of our lifes . Just look up people !!! 🤗😆 I am sure that the weather in UK is more cloudy than here in Moldova but .... it makes you appreciate it even more , I guess 😅❤️

I think so many of us can relate to what happened to you.. me and my friend literally just wanted to go for a walk the other night and a man came up to us really close saying stuff like "you're cute".. we told him to back off and he said he was ready to get violent. He then followed us and got faster evey time we got faster, it was really scary bc we knew we didn't stand a chance against this big guy. We were just lucky that there was a group of people coming our way and we asked them whether we could walk with them for a while.
It just sucks because these are totally normal things like going for a walk alone that guys would never have second thoughts about😬
Whenever I watch videos like Damon Dominique's I love them but I also feel sad because I know that I could never travel alone in that way because I'm a woman😐😐

omg this is insane...i found this video in the morning but didn't have time to watch it, so i went for a quick walk in the park at 2 pm. The park is literally next to my house, it's kinda chilly today so I wore a hoodie and jeans. SO So I was walking in a park,and I was in my headphones and then someone grabbed my shoulder, so I turned around, and he was like "sorry, you just look like someone else, i got confused"
I was like "ah okay" and kept walking
and then he grabbed me again
i asked what, and he was obviously not a native speaker, so i thought maybe he needed help and stopped to listen to him, while he was trying to formulate his thoughts, and he was like "sorry are you from here" and I was like yes, and then he asked if I had a BF, so I knew where it was going at, and I started walking away, but he kept walking next to me, and I see that there are no other people, and he keeps asking me questions how old I am etc, and I answer bc IDK WHAT TO DO and I feel very unsafe, and every time I would stop answering he would get closer, so I keep answering shortly, try to walk faster to get to PEOPLE, and then he goes and PICKS ME UP, I started screaming, and he put me down and started kinda laughing, and then I rushed to the corner and some people walked out from there, and I walked to the other side of the road and he didnt follow me.
and then i come home, shaky and scared, i talked to my friends about it, and decided to relax and distract myself and I'm watching this video...and omg...what is this world 😭
