Jeremy Wade went for an anjumara (hoplias aimara) not a wolf fish (hoplias malabaricus), the wolf fish is really common in the amazon, but the anjumara is super rare and it can grow up to 50 pounds

Everytime I see a wolffish their faces remind me of brooktrout so much. I don't even know why, it's just something about the shape, the eyes, how the jaws function even though they aren't related at all.

Trairas are the most common fish in brazil. They can be found in any lake or River around here and we don't get tired of fishing it.

I'm brazilian and I'm watching all your videos in this trip to Amazon! Amazing! Traíra is a epidemic fish here! It can get about 44 lbs of weight and is super aggressive. It was found birds, worms, even rats inside it's belly. Traíra attacks almost everything that moves in its territory...
Down to the south of Brazil, Traira (wolfish) is a very common fish and they usually live in flooded areas, just waiting for prey, and that's why topwater fishing is our main way of catching them and when fishing in dams and some lakes you can find wolfish AND bass (whe call them Black Bass in Brazil) and it's a fun mix

I can't believe you caught a Traira, or as we call it here in Uruguay... "Tararira". It's my main sport fish, it's everywhere, and also it's caught by the same lures you guys use for Bass Fishing!

Funny how things are - traíras are extremely common where I live (they're not exclusive to the Amazon basin) - possibly the most common freshwater fish we have. I'd never imagine it'd be in anyone's bucket list :D

Jon, when fishing for traíra a great tip is to use a steel cable before the bait. Otherwise, you keep braking your line, also traíras likes frogs. I am from Brazil and I literally have traíra in my backyard. Hope you enjoy amazon, and try to catch some piraíbas. Piraíbas are giiiiiiiiant and beasts, you would really enjoy them.

in Brazil, there are trairas in almost any lakes and rivers, north to south, I live in Sao Paulo, It's the most common that I fish with artificial lures

The only other vlog type channel I regularly watch is Casey Neistat and that is mostly for the interesting life and top notch professional best of the best editing (imo), so I LOOVE that you continue to take yours to new levels.
