I used to clean RC car tires with furniture polish. Just spray it on, let it dry and just fall off. It might work for mic cords.

No, any device should manage its own power inrush, the power supply shouldn’t limit it.

About $150 dollars your more the older cobra 🐍 cb radios hold there value I have a 94 148 gtl made in malaysia
