One concern I have is that the Class 41 is perhaps a bit too tall. It might better fit the 1980s design if the boiler/cab was lower down/closer to the wheels, thinking of cohesive rooflines, running boards, etc. This also may apply to the Class 65. Obviously its just my opinion, do what you think best. In terms of personal preference, I'm a fan of large tank engines (like Class 65), plus it might handle better with more weight over the driving axels. I know Nonsense Wars Productions mentions some of those types of design characteristics in some of his videos....
That is true, I noticed that the engine was higher as well, and doesn't subscribe to the 80s techniques as much. The final engine isn't a tank but I do really like the idea of making a tank, I will design one sometime in the future!
They both look very good, however I prefer 41. Looking forward to the next part of this series
