Guys, I love your recipes..... Most of them are an absolute hit with my 8 year old son! There's only one bummer..... These snacks, that are so healthy and tasty, are not allowed in his school due to a ban on any kind of nut product due to a fear of triggering allergies! Just thought I'd mention this as you said at the start of the video about 'being the envy of your school friends' with these bars! All the best from Belfast..... Alex (dad) and Elan (son)
+The Happy Pear yes, before and after school.... Just not during! Lol! Pity, these would be great as a break time snack! Anyway, we'll be making them this weekend for sure! Keep up the great work lads..... Maybe during the summer we'll take a road trip down to your wee establishment! All the very best from Belfast! 👍
Maybe you can substitute the nuts with more seeds? And sunflower butter rather than almond butter. Maybe add more fried fruit too? Maybe add some rice, millet, rye, or buckwheat puffs? 😋 I don't know what I came up with in my head or if it would even work but it sounds delicious 😅
+schreineinAV Instead of almond butter you can probably also make bars with coconut butter although the amount needed will be different. Coconut is generally not considered as triggering tree nut allergy reactions
These look sooo good. Sadly oats contain just enough gluten to make me sick. And all those glutenfree flakes (rice, quinoa...) are too hard for this... has anyone a suggestion how I could substitute the oats?
I love when you let the kids help

I think you can puff rice at home, I think I've heard you can puff quinoa too?! But anyway, that could be nice.

I thought honey isn't vegan, why you using honey
they are not strictly vegan...
I see... that explains it
+Nur Hafidzah We think honey and bee pollen is such an amazing food we could go without it, the local honey really helps the kids with hay fever too.
