You handle all of the tasks associated with traveling well. Winston seems to enjoy all of his time during these fun getaways. The narrow roads over there would drive me crazy ( bonkers!). Please keep the videos coming and Thanks!
The narrow roads only really exist in the countryside, and you get use to it. I just have to be careful that Google maps doesn’t take me down one of them while I’m towing the caravan🙈 Thanks for watching and following our adventures
You had such diverse weather conditions whilst away, it really is pack clothing for all 4 seasons 😄 I think I agree with you on your favourite pitch; can't beat the sound of running water and as you've said, sitting on that bench in the late spring and summer would be glorious. It's so clear from that quick recap, how much Winston loves hiking with you 😊
Having given up caravans and motorhomes due to age and health reasons I must say how much I enjoyed the Brecon adventure you and Winston had . Following all your videos have been most enjoyable, thank you for sharing them. This recap video was very interesting and informative for anyone thinking of doing the same trip, I wish you and Winston a healthy and happy future as you continue on your travels.Take care 👍🐕🦺
Enjoyed recap and the prices of campsites. And we do like seeing Winston weekly. Plus you of course ❤ Must be of interest to anyone planning camping especially to see the sites too. Really looking forward to our next adventure with you both. Keep having and making those wonderful memories. Take care. ❤
Thank you for these vlogs Roz, i love seeing Winston living his best life, im trying to do the same with my labrador Riley, you cannot put a price on those memories with your little bestie ❤
Thanks for sharing your breacon trip . Glad you got back safe. Look forward to your future adventures.. ps it's high 20° here weekend looks like it could hit 30° so a tad warm .. be good be safe and give Winston' a head rub from me Frank in Spain
Great to recap on your trip, it would be interesting to see the same places in Summer or Autumn when it’s dried out a bit( though that’s not guaranteed with the weather we’re having this year!). Can’t wait for your next adventure, thank you for sharing it all with us.
I don’t think I could handle some of the walks in peak tourist season 😂🙈 but I’m sure the beauty spots would be amazing in the summer sun! Thanks for watching
Fabulous series of videos. Thank you for taking us along. Even though I don't live far from llandovery I sit really enjoyed it. You must come back and try Elan valley, Devils Bridge. 😊
Thank you for the recap and outlining the costs unfortunately site fees have increased along with car park charges as you brought up in one vlog but it's still a great way to see our beautiful country.😃
Hello you two, I would say that in terms of costs, you were able to travel quite cheaply for the long period of your trip in the Federal Republic of Germany, it would be expensive because many places only open from April. And yes, favorite places or places you could live there all the time without missing anything. I also have two places. All the best to you, best regards Oldie👍
Nice video, Roz. - That Abergavenny site is a rip off. £40 a night off season☹️. - I’d have been interested in food and fuel costs but, then again, I’m unusually nosey. - I thought you’d have mentioned car parking costs. It would have given you an excuse to have another moan about that £7.50 car park at Pen y Fan😂. - Nice to see the waterfalls again.
As a rough guide, fuel was about £130 and food was about £150. I forgot to add in car parking 🙈🙈 I paid £7.50 at Pen y Fan, I think £3 (?) at the four waterfalls walk, and I think that was it 🤔 …but I’m STILL not over that £7.50! 😂😂 Thanks for watching
Thank you for all the practical information and tips! Could you please at some point give your experience with Winston at the campsites and if there is anything you had to consider/watch out for when booking and staying in the caravan with a dog? I would love to try caravanning with a pet myself but I am physically limited so would also be interested to know of any issues you face in terms of heavy lifting or physical difficulty when setting up and doing daily tasks on site too. Thanks again :)
Hello. If you want to travel solo with a dog you just need to make sure that your dog has some basic training and is happy being left alone for short periods. Since you’re on your own, you can’t keep hold of your dog all the time and you’re going to have to leave it while you go for a shower, nip to the shops etc, and you don’t want it fretting or barking. Also, you need to make sure that the campsites you go to allow dogs. Winston and I leave the campsite and go for long walks most days, but if you are unable to do that then you’ll need a campsite with a designated dog walking area. You need to give the dog enough physical and mental stimulation every day if you want it to stay calm and relaxed when confined in a small caravan for several hours. Hope that helps and best of luck 👍🏼🙌🏼
Great analysis of your Brecon Beacon adventure here, Roz. I know the sites you stayed at had some excellent facilities and amenities but the costs were ferocious, especially for February/March. Would you consider staying at a Caravan Club CL?
The costs were expensive. I need to have good showers, electric hookup, and chemical waste disposal, and since it’s not easy to move campsite if the facilities are poor I tend to steer towards sites that have reviews and more of an online presence, especially when staying for a week. Thanks for watching :)
As pensioners we have a motorhome and have been doing this for 20 years plus ..camping in my younger days it was a cheap way to have a holiday but no longer..yes its cheaper than holidays abroad but when as it is now sitting in our motorhome in Wales and its throwing it down you sometimes wonder why you do it..however I do think campsites are expensive for what you get .
I'm currently suck inside the pod at the coast with 45mph winds, so I feel you! I’ve only been doing this for a few years and even I have noticed the big jump in the price of campsites. They’re not cheap no more.
Wow that is an eye watering amount of money for camp fees. I know they made a huge loss due to COVID but now it’s just getting greedy. I enjoyed your series greatly. Thank you.

Thanks so much for watching!! Last year, campsites use to be much cheaper. They seem to have rising a lot in the last year and I’m yet to adjust 😅
Nice video, Roz.

Just a lovely series and trip. A bargain at twice the cost. Have you thought about taking a ferry with the caravan and doing the Shetlands?
Haven’t thought about the Shetland’s 🤔 but we are currently on an island 😉 but this is for another vlog series 🐶😉

Great review blah blah, I feel cross on your behalf about £7:50 parking. Do you want me to cover it for you to lighten the pain? Cam 💐
Just get them to drop it to a more reasonable £4 for next time 👍🏼😅
Great analysis of your Brecon Beacon adventure here, Roz. I know the sites you stayed at had some excellent facilities and amenities but the costs were ferocious, especially for February/March. Would you consider staying at a Caravan Club CL?
Yes, I wondered that. but someone told me they can be expensive too.

@@Roz.SHmm, the biggie there is showers, unless of course you’re willing to revert to your toilet tent-shower lash up!😃😃⛺️🚿
@@markwilliamson2864 I don't mind showering in a toilet tent, I just don't like the cold water 😅🙈

@Roz.S good news .its not raining in Aberystwyth today and the wind has dropped ..so an escape is planned from the motorhome ..hurrah
@@timwright5466 Hope you managed to get away. Have a fab time!

Very difficult to find a full facilities campsite under £30 now 😞 Thanks for watching.
Freakin Beacons ❤
👊🏼🙌🏼
Why do you allways use campsite please,
Because my pod isn’t self contained like a campervan, and I need the electricity to work 👍🏼
