Fiji’s Bainimarama vows to respect election result as polls close

- Vote counting is underway in Fiji's general election -- which has two former coup leaders vying to become prime minister.
Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama vowed to respect the outcome of the election, which is being seen as a test of the Pacific nation’s democracy.
The vote on Wednesday was the third democratic election in Fiji since Bainimarama, who seized power in a coup in 2006, introduced a new constitution in 2013.

@@arksamongus5165 bro I'm from Fiji right and the elections is going on rn. Fiji has a history of coups. The current PM Bainimarama staged a coup to get in power in 2006. made himself PM in 2007. He than tried to make his government (FIJI FIRST PARTY) take over actions "legal" by hosting elections after 7 years in 2014. Thats when the first use of FEO's Datec Software App which portrays the Actual real time votes on the screen of the app....Sitiveni Rabuka a former coup leader in 1987 was the head of Sodelpa Party and they were in the lead but the app apparently had a glitch around 11pm to midnight and for 3 hours the app was down. After the App was fix or whatever the Sodelpa party was in 2nd place and the Fiji First Party was in the lead by a margin which results in Fiji First Party wining the 2014 Elections. This soo called glitch happened again in the 2018 elections at the same time 11pm to midnight. Sodelpa Party was in a lead before the glitch and after the glitch Fiji First Party took the lead and won the Elections. NOW! IN 2022 THE SAME FUCKEN APP GLTICHED AT THE SAME FUCKEN TIME. The People's Alliance Party was in the lead just 2 days ago by a margin. After the 3 hour glitch FIJI FIRST PARTY IS IN THE LEAD by a margin. FIJI's Democracies under threat.
All that glitches ..were never investigated ..in 2022..Rabuka demanded a forensic investigation for the App and a manual recount..
Now on the 20th Dec ..Fiji ushered in a new Coalition party government..a refresh start for the islands..

Al Jazeera should have played the video from the beginning on the question which the ABC reporter had asked Frank Bainimarara. A stupid question deserves a stupid answer....
The reporter asked wheather he (VB) accepts the results if it doesnt go his way. I think its a legitimate question. I am just so disturbed at how he still answers questions when he is pressured. The world just got a glimpse of the Fijis PM Again.
