The 50-40-90 club achievement that Brogdon has is insane. Look at with wikipedia page for it. The only players that have achieved it are Larry Bird, Mark Price (4x All Star), Reggie Miller, Steve Nash, Dirk, Kevin Durant, Curry & Kyrie. Insane company.

this is an interesting video. but brodon's only played in a little over 60 percent of the games available during his career. injuries have prevented him from being "consistent". i think more than any trend in the NBA, this has been is what prevented him from getting deeply established with any one team. but the good news for him is that he has already banked over 130 million.
As a Celtics fan I did appreciate the Brogdon experience. He was super effective on the court and fit well, really smart player with great size, but he ended up playing hurt when it mattered the most. Even when he got mad they told him he wouldn’t start after the Porzingis trade he kept it pretty professional.
With Brogdons spot open, Payton Pritchard got a massive opportunity, and I don't think any Cs fan would be happier with brogdon over Pritchard. It's a shame to see that talent and fit don't always play well in the sandbox.
@@soramooseas a Celtic fan, I do prefer Brogdon than Pritchard when healthy. It’s close but I think Brogdon is definitely better, even with Pritchard taking a big step this season. However, when factoring in injury concerns, I’d much rather have Pritchard. Brogdon’s injury in the playoffs cost us a trip to the finals
Yeah this is a great video, such an interesting topic. I really liked Brogden but he just gets swept under the rug by being not flashy and undervalued. I didn't realize he was the 8th - 50/40/90 player dang, narrative really controls the whole NBA 😭😭😭
Brogdon is really lethal, and even though those injuries are a problem, it makes 0 sense that he’s not on a contender right now? Thanks for the support 🙏🏿
@ definitely Kuzma and Burke. Another name might be Otto Porter, he’s was efficient offensively and played some solid defense but nobody was gonna take a chance on him being a second option else ware.
When 10/2/4 used to win you ROY...God things have changed lol. I know that was a weak class and I've always LOVED Brogdon's game and character, wanted him on my Mavs for years so bad, but you gotta admit that's crazy.
@@rahmelrobinson5978 You're mostly right. I was gonna argue with you cuz I'm thinking about stuff in the 21st century like Mike Miller winning it on 11 or 12 ppg and Steve Nash winning MVP on 14 ppg, but on the whole ROY stats were a little more stacked than I remembered, touche.
It’s interesting how quickly a lot of 6MOTY are forgotten. Brogdon wasn’t really a fan favorite even while he was in Boston but it really feels like a lot of people forgot he ever played in Boston.
Anthony Gill was my guy. Still is but he doesn't get minutes like that. I'm not a UVA fan but I used to be a big Sean Singletary fan when I was in high school

Roty 6moty, rooting for him since he's with the bucks, bro missed out on 2 rings kinda sad but i think he can be a valuable asset to a contending team.
Brogdon isn't injury-prone, but he seems to get hurt just when the games become very important. That's why having him as one of the main guys limits the ceiling of any contender. How the Celtics were able to flip him to get Jrue is mind-bogglingly brilliant!
Dog was injury prone when he came in the league & was injury prone at every stop of his career thats why he isnt valued like that. He also was ass in the finals run with us in boston
It's a great video and you make great points. There used to be a lot of solid glue guys in the NBA, back when everyone was a four-year college player. Scott Wedman, Junior Bridgeman, Greg Ballard, Maurice Lucas, Kevin Grevey. Fifteen or so points, some rebounds, passing, okay defense, good guys to have on your team. More recently, I'd say guys like PJ Brown, Trevor Ariza, Shane Battier are guys like that. Maybe not a star, but it's worthwhile to have these guys around. I'd put Brogdon in that category, too, but...games played is really what stands out. 75 as a rookie and then only two seasons where he played as many as 60. That's not consistency in my eyes and probably not to a GM or coach either. I'm sure coaches like having him around, to the extent that I wouldn't be surprised if Brogdon ends up as a coach down the road, but what he brings is solidity and maturity, not consistency. You have to be out there to be consistent. I know he hates the losing, but at the end of his career, he's got to look back and say he had a good career. He did what he could with what he had. That's all you can really ask.
Ironically the rockets would be a great fit for him. I’m sure his steady point guard play would help the offense tremendously. Heck he’d be a lot cheaper than staying with Fred at least. 😅
I can honestly say that each of the 3 teams that got rid of Brodgen made the right decision. The bucks won a championship the next year, the Celtics won a championship the next year & Haliburton is the Pacers 24 year old franchise player
I'd love for this guy to go to my Rockets team. He loves playing for Ime and his shooting will help us during 4th quarter scoring droughts. Maybe swap Cam or Reed for him?
Brogdon is great but he has only played more than 60 games in 3 of his 8 seasons. I would like to see the pistons grab him as a bench player / locker room vet.
8:56 please get them facts right!!! Brogdon’s relationship broke down after the season when the Celtics attempted to trade him for Porzingis, resulting in Marcus Smart being shipped out in his place. By the time Brogdon got to Boston, Udoka had been suspended and Mazzulla had been the interim coach. Great video otherwise
Its ironic to say the point of the game is winning. Goes to show you how little people really know about the sport. There was no winner or loser they didnt even have a scoring system. So winning wasnt the purpose or reason. It maybe now but again ironic to talk about the history of the game yet also ignoring the history of the game.
