Kevin Martin this dude was a bucket on NBA 2K 😂 people say you can score a lot on bad teams but I don't care what they say having multiple 20 ppg seasons in the NBA is putting in some work!
Right before he got hurt his last year in Sacremento Kevin Martin was playing best of his career. His last game before injury he had 48/5/4 plus 5 STOCKS!!! He made 7/10 three pointers that game.
He was never the same after his injury despite what his numbers on the Rockets say. He had better numbers on the Rockets because of Adelman's system, but he wasn't the same player. The eye test tells me that he was a better player on the kings than he was on the Rockets.
Snuck this video in before the New Year. Nice. Kevin Martin good scorer and never got the recognition because he played on so many bad teams. But definitely would be perfect for today's NBA. Great video!!!!
I used to work retail in Zanesville OH. I never met Kevin Martin but his father was one of my customers. Really nice guy. Owned a landscaping company I believe and was super down to earth.
I said it before, and I'll mention it here again. These videos need to be implemented into future NBA2K games somehow, when playing with classic rosters. Phenomenal channel!
@@MindfulAttraction2.0 I think the comments about his shooting form are overstated. The only thing about his form that's really unorthodox is that he brings the ball to his side first. During situations when he's shooting off the dribble or when the shot clock is expiring and he didn't have time to bring it to his side his form is actually pretty textbook.

Vince Carter definitely not underrated you can't mention 2000's nba with thinking of him or showing his highlights. Kirk Hinrich,Jason Richardson,Richard Jefferson,Mike Miller,Mo Williams,Hedo Turkoglu and Wally Szczerbiak are some actual underrated players
Kevin Martin IS the current NBA Him and Kobe did irreparable damage to the league in the context of flopping/referee manipulation...ie getting to the line for a NON basketball play.
NFL Suggestions Joe Horn Ricky Williams Chad Pennington Jimmy Smith Keenan McCardell Mark Brunell Lance Briggs Hines Ward Darrell Jackson Willie Parker Sean Taylor Jeremy Shockey Chris Cooley Steven Jackson
He was a good scorer on a bad team. That's not going to get you noticed. Pretty much a one-dimensional player. He offered nothing else. Didn't defend, didn't facilitate, didn't rebound, was always injured and never got far on any level. Just a small school star that is known for that weird shot.

So nice, I feel like all the injuries he had to deal with aren't mentioned enough. When he was healthy, he was hard to stop
He was never the same after his injury despite what his numbers on the Rockets say. He had better numbers on the Rockets because of Adelman's system, but he wasn't the same player. The eye test tells me that he was a better player on the kings than he was on the Rockets.
Don’t forget he was a beast in Houston before Harden got there
@ForgottenPlayerProfiles you sir are legendary for this kevin had game💪💯
@anthonycox8734 thanks!
Kevin Martin was unstoppable in 2k11 and 2k12
K-Mart never forgotten in Sacramento. Much ❤

You said it well. He knew how to score, and would absolutely thrive today.
the description as skinny kid with funky shot and i knew immediately who it was
True that lmao
Kevin Martin rockets years were kinda underrated
You're not lying. His 2010/11 season is so slept on
Kevin martin is my favorite player all time glad he got some recognition!
Monta Ellis was impressive to say the least! He use to go off , and put big numbers up
I used to work retail in Zanesville OH. I never met Kevin Martin but his father was one of my customers. Really nice guy. Owned a landscaping company I believe and was super down to earth.
I'm from Athens and Zanesville put a WHOOPING on us a few years after Martin left
I liked him on the Kings. Solid shooter
Definitely. Ugly shot, but it went in
I remember watching highlights on OLD ESPN use to always see him on the bottom ticker having 20-30's(points)all the time...
You don't even have a clue what old ESPN is zoomer
Kevin Martin definitely had rage on his shot; if he had been on a winning team, he would be getting the respect he deserves
I used to joke that his nickname was Kmart because his contract was so cheap.
I said it before, and I'll mention it here again. These videos need to be implemented into future NBA2K games somehow, when playing with classic rosters. Phenomenal channel!
he had an adrian dantley type of funky shot, Meaning, he had an awkward shot but he was pure money
The comparison to Dantley spot on lol. Both underrated players who almost never get mentioned l.

Dude was a bucket. I remember that great series he had against the Spurs back in 06'.

The other KMart
Couldn't bring myself to call him K-Mart in the vid 😅 to me, K-Mart will always be Kenyon Martin
@ForgottenPlayerProfiles haha thats what I used to refer to him when I talked to my friends who played Yahoo Fantasy NBA back then 😂
@jopspandaraoan8424 I mean, you weren't wrong. He's definitely still a K-Mart
Kevin Martin was better than Kenyon, so if anything, its the other way around.
I miss the old music. Still great videos as always though
Right!!!!!!
Big facts
He was UNGUARDABLE in NBA2K 😂
A legend! Underrated baller for real.
When Martin played for the Rockets, I started to learn about efficiency. That’s when the game changed for me
Been saying Booker is a glorified KMart but these kids get offended by it lol
literally just pulled out my kings Kmart jersey at my moms house, my brothers thought it was random lol im like nah he was a killa
Such a great video man!! Thank you. 🙏🏽
Kevin Martin was legit
Had no idea that Martin would've been part of the Chris Paul/Lakers trade.
Another sharpshooter that was mightily underlooked was Anthony Peeler (might be an interesting dive)
Definitely needs a video
He pulled the ball out of his pocket before he shot.
Haha that's such a good way to put it
Rockets kevin martin is memorable to me
Off the nail I knew it was Kmart dude was an animal!!!!
Klay Thompson before Klay Thompson
Absolute bucket on the Rockets
I had a similar shooting form like him because it is effective for me. Underrated scorer indeed.
Thank you 😊
I remember when Presti said this guy would replace Harden on OKC shit was hilarious.
Was one of the few bright spots during those initial post adelman years with Sacramento haha
Bro was a baller then disappeared
Cavs wanted to pair him with LeBron years back.
That would’ve been such a nice combo.
Attention K Mart shoppers 😂
Great Video. I hope you can make a Tyrone Hill or a Brad Miller vdeo.
I love kmart when he played with thunder
Kevin Martin IS the current NBA
Him and Kobe did irreparable damage to the league in the context of flopping/referee manipulation...ie getting to the line for a NON basketball play.
Kevin Martin was fun to watch, and was a walking bucket on 2k 😂😂😂
He was a Ray Allen type player
Would you make a video about forgotten teams like the Grit and Grind Grizzlies, or early 2000's post Jordan Wizards teams?
I was begging for the Bulls to trade for this guy during the DRose mvp era.. If dude would have came in the league circa 2014, he would be a HOF easy…
Bro used to torch my grizzlies relentlessly
Man i guess i was wrong for thinking youd ever get to scott skiles, i mean its not like anyone has forgotten about him
He should have made a few all star teams
over who?
Happy new year!!!
Happy new year!
Next do Joe Johnson or Mitch Richmond
One of the best players to never be an all star
So that very first clip of KD…major fkn travel , bro picks up the dribble after the spin move, then dribbles again 🤦🏼🤦🏼

Planning to get to him soon
2k legend 2k HOF

Should have been Basket interference on that shot Bibby grabbed the net.
He was automatic in NBA Live
As a wolves fan, Martin was a really fun guy to watch, gotta find the silver lining to being one of if not the worst franchise in the league.
Hey on your videos Why do you say that they average about this Many points? we know exactly what they average.
Uhhh 17-20 from free throw line & 1-8 from field is nasty work. He’s not a player he crushes a lot
When you’re traded for James Harden, you aren’t underrated
So Jeremy lamb isn't underrated?
You're going to run out of basketballs forgotten profiles eventually what are you going to do then...... I have no clue why this is important to me
Hahah appreciate the concern, but I really don't think that'll happen. And if it somehow does, there's alot of football players I need to get to
Great scorer & shooter, but average defense
🪣🪣🪣❕
martin was extremely brittle
He looked like me and played on the west coast and I still didn’t fuck with him lol he was just so boring to me reminded me of Michael redd lol
LeThong isn't a scorer
Kevin Martin good at scoring just not good at winning
wells really really sucked his entire career never been good
Bunch of bull crap lies.
Ben Gordon is the most underrated scorer in the 00s…
