Drain plug in my 2016 optima 2.4L is a 17mm plug socket/wrench soooo I don't know how you have a 13mm. Also should show cleaning the MAF sensor because that's important in all my tune ups
I hate the fact that Kia decided to put that plastic covering over the bottom...Makes it tougher to unscrew the oil filter and I get a lot of oil spilled in there which creates a bit of a mess
I just put the same kind of air filter in my car, but I’m questioning wether I put it in correct based off your video. I put the end with the pull tab in first, and the label is showing first when you first pop open the cover lid. Does it really matter what end goes in first?
I think that is just there to make it easier to remove. If the door closes, I'm sure it won't hurt anything. Thank you for watching and asking your question
Never use antiseize compound on spark plugs! Yikes! The plug won’t seal properly and could cause damage. Find out the proper torque and torque the plugs properly. Good spark plugs like Denso have a special coating on the threads to prevent them from a possible weld in. The oil pan plug should be properly torqued too! Over tightening can cause an oil oan threads to fall out prematurely. But the air filter change was up to spec!
@@DCAutoEnhancement Yes the little gray lock tab. On my 2012 Kia Optima 2.0 Turbo they would not slide back and only the gray part broke. Otherwise the connector still snaps back on.
@@DCAutoEnhancement Oh that would be awesome! I cant find it anywhere. Even the connector assy p/n and or the manufacturer name may be helpful or Harness p/n
@DC Auto Enhancement okay how come it says every 30k miles on the scheduled service maintenance chart? Is that too inspect them or is there something kia doesn't tell its kia owners?
If it only did it once, it could be a fluke. If it keeps doing it, you may run by a place like AutoZone to read codes even if the light isn't on there could be "pending" codes. Pending codes won't make your check engine light come on but they can still be read.
THANK YOU. great video. i have 2016 optima fe.. 43987 6 years now....runs like a dream....
That's great, hopefully its fun to drive again.
Thanks Dc Auto again for the tune up car runs like new
UA-cam university thank u I did my Owen tuneup and save big

The drain plug may have been replaced. Good point on the MAF cleaning. Thanks for the idea.
Always change the coil on the drain plug
And that would b 548dollars and 68 cents...and addional 34dollars for discharging the oil...and 133 dollars maintenance fee...😬😏😂😂😂😂good job ...✌️👍
I had no idea it would cost that much to have done. Just out here trying to help people save money🤣. Thanks for the info

The gray lock tab or clip would not slide back on my connectors and all of them broke. Do you know what the part number is for the gray locking tab?
Was this on the the ignition coil?

@@NealHartsChannel I will check and see if that part is available for purchase, if so, I will link it here.

@@NealHartsChannel I couldn't find anything from Kia
Which type of spark plugs should I use for my Kia optima 2020?
That might depend on the engine you have. NGK I believe is the original brand from KIA.
Ngk laser
How often do you have to change spark plugs?
@@jamesbeer9886 Kia says every 105,000 miles.

What would cause the car to idle low like it’s gonna cut off then idles back to normal

Did you ever find out what the cause of your optima to feel like it was going to cut off? I have the same situation. Thanks in advance 🙏🏽👍🏽
Why some people recommend 4.8 quarts
I don't know but I got my information from www.amsoil.com
