Miladojka Youneed - Miladojka Live

Miladojka Youneed was Slovenian free punk/funk/jazz band formed in 1985 in former Yugoslavia.
The idea of continuing post-punk on a metalized funkadelic and jazz basis began to form in 1985 when Dadi Kašnar (former member of Martin Krpan and Videosex ), Mario Marolt (former member of Marcus 5 ), and talented bassist Miroslav Lovrič met at a jazz festival workshop in Ljubljana.
The core of the band, which labeled itself and categorized into the free punk jazz genre, shook the foundations of the then very punk avant-garde club K4.
In search of the right sound and direction, the members often changed, and recording their first cassette “Miladojka Youneed” , under the slovenian independent label of alternative music, founded by the members of Borghesia and Disko FV , FV Založba .
Their style was defined as pop-core, acid-metal and synthetic-trash. Their's musical work, although hard to classify, provokes a lot of different, mostly superlative interpretation and marked significant changes in experiencing contemporary popular art.
By synthesizing different musical genres MYN gather fans of Butthole Surfers and Art Of Noise , Kraftwerk and Motorhead , Lounge Lizards and No means No . They know how to be easy and they know how to be brutal but they are always effective as they are dealing with totality.
Miladojka´s debut album “Ghastly Beyond Belief!” was released in 1987. under the Helidon, and produced and refined by former Videosex member Iztok Turk . It's a unrepeatable mixture of horroric colours on a jazzy palette, with strong, ritualistic atmospheres which leave the listener breathless.
Following the album's release, they performed at festivals in Hungary, Greece, Italy, Austria, Belgium, and the Netherlands, gaining recognition even in Subotica at the Youth Festival.
Their second studio release, “Bloodylon” , was released in 1993. under the Helidon.
Known for their eclectic style, the band originally infused this album with a blend of punk, rock, and experimental sounds, so, most of their fans consider this album as a pure masterpiece, crucial in their career.
During a video shoot, guitarist Kristijan Cavazza fell from a construction stage, and after a year of being an invalid, he died. The tragedy left a bitter aftertaste, and a significant part of the creative team left the band, making the third album, “Liberta Bloo” , which is, with the help of guest artists such as Videosex singer Anja Rupel and vocalist Meri Trošelj , along with Nikola Sekulović from the Brežice alternative militia Demolition Group and Gastrbajters, essentially a solo work by Lovrič and Marolt .
This album once again brought a change in sound, which they described as "techno pop-rock."
Concert CD "Miladojka Live" was recorded in Portorose in June of 1994. As a bonus were songs recorded in the studio in 1987. They also demonstrated their acoustic prowess in the show “Izštekani” , performing “ Beautiful Lie ”, “ Pocket Calculator ”, and “ Show Me ” in an unplugged setting.
With their new album "Schizophonik" (1998, Dallas Records ) Miladojka once again opts for a heavier sound. In their current four-member lineup, they have a new drummer, and the singer, Mire, has returned to playing the bass guitar in addition to his "roaring" vocals.
After fourth studio album the band consensually turned off their amplifiers and ceased creating high-quality noise. More than a decade of creative vacuum ensued, but it seems to be breaking as a new creative project began roaring in the Bežigrad shelter in 2011 - the band Neuro. But nothing more than that.
