I swear that line lives rent-free in my head.
This was just real. I have never played a table top dnd campaign where we would leave a piece of loot like that. 😂
To be fair, it's incredibly accurate. If you accidently or purposely drop something on a friend, they go ballistic like Astarian. And then you offer them food and an ice pack, and all is forgiven.
They nailed all the performances to be fair.
Gods, Astarion's voice actor is just too good. *"I WAS RIGHT. THERE!!!!"*
Neil's voice acting combined with your editing is 10/10. Whenever I need a good laugh, I watch this video. Thank you for this 😂
I appreciate you 😊
Next time? Nu nu nuuu 💅😂
Winner of performance of the year everybody.
I don’t care what anyone says. I love Astarion so much. How could you not?! Not only is he very pretty, he also has some of the funniest lines and deliveries ever, as well as extremely expressive animation, and also some really good dramatic scenes that admittedly made me cry. He’s wonderful. I will fight you 😂
Cause he is a selfish prick basically, but I guess he has his moments.
I feel like he’s the only expressive one . Every Tav I make seems to have resting bitch face. I know you’re very stressed out from trying to stay alive but I wish you could look a little friendlier.
people who hate him literally don't pay attention to the story 💀
@@TheRealJerma remember that time he KILLED YOU while sucking you dry? What a great guy, really
The animation is so expressive cause that's Neil's mocapped face lmao you just *know* he threw his entire being into acting Astarion
01:39 if anyone want the "no, no, no"
I want Astarion.
Sus
We have astarion at home.
@@Bdavis2475 I just have one question.
Where u live? xd
Same, but my game has been crashing lately so I can't continue my adventure :'c
@@Bdavis2475 Mom said it's my turn on the Astarion! Gimme
The simple fact that he is not annoyed about getting ressed cos he died but more about having a building dropped on him
This is one of the funniest have seen. you unbotherly activate a trap, destroy a building, almost kill yourself but successfully kill Astarion, try to fix it but, please, FREE OF CHARGE, get yelled at by the vampire who can't stay mad at you at the end for some reason. I can't breath 💀
Neil was already so good in his role in Detroit: Become Human. It's no surprise he nailed this character.
"just don't do it again" I love him so much
"the full concentrated power of the sun" line was legit the megamind style of reading that line
His face in the thumbnail is disturbing me for some reason, lol
I have never seen astarion smile joyfully before and it’s unsettling
@@Mylo8328 for real 😧
It's made using faceapp I think. That app puts the same creepy smile on everyone LOL but it's such a meme. You can tell it doesn't look right on Astarion because 1. the man doesn't smile like that and 2. fangs are missing!
Neil is honestly such a gem... His delivery on literally all of Astarion's lines is just pure gold
The faint oblivion music at the start is beautiful!
There is a reason why Neil Newbon won Best Performance.
He's not my romance option but I always keep him around for his entertaining quips. He deserves getting all the awards so far for this scene alone 😅
Someone tag Neil please, he did such a good job with this character
Now that you mention it, Im going to add his channel to the description & pinned comment. I really wish I had done it earlier, but I never anticipated this video getting this many views.
No wonder why he won an award for this acting
The way he shouts "full concentrated power of the sun" sounds a lot like megamind
The next part is even better! “There’s a difference between a nice summer breeze and the FULL POWER OF THE SUN!”
The facial animations can't keep up with how good the voice acting is.
and he won the game awards for best performance, well deserved 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Neil Newbon won Best Performance at the game awards for his role as Astarion. Seriously epic work! He's got so much character
Thank you for uploading this, I would have NEVER caused this interaction to occur unless by pure accidental luck and Its way to good to be missed!
He won best supporting VA at the Golden Joysticks, and this video renders it as NO surprise to me
That voice actor deserves an award or two ;)
Now he got Best Performance of the year and a well earned one.
If Neil Newbon doesn't win "Best Performance" in the Game Awards, I will lose it.
News flash: *Neil WON THE BEST VIDEO GAME PERFORMANCE OF 2023* lmfao
I haven't seen the entire scene before, just the resurrection and Astarion's tantrum.
"What's the worst thing that can happen? 🤷♀️" 😂😂😂
Voice of the year. And Game of the year, Ladies and Gentlemen ♥
Absolutely deserved best performance award for his voice actor.
And that's why he won best performance in Game Awards
This is why voice actors deserve more, they actually have fun voicing a character
I don't know anything Baldur's Gate, but this video alone makes me want to buy BG3.
Update: This game is peak, and Astarion is precious.
ikr?????
"Well- not many corpses have your vigor."
bro realy pulled a bethesda pickpocket strat on that necromancer
I know we're all crushing on the voice work but the performance capture on that escape run is straight out of Mission Impossible. Amazing work all round.
OMFG, Tav pickpocketing Withers while he's raising Astarion, Astarion's righteous outrage, and then at the end, BAP!!! I hurt myself laughing. 🤣🤣🤣
This was the moment he won Best Performance at the recent Game Awards. (Mind you, he was fab the entire time, but this really sticks out to me)
Neil Newbon deserves every award for this character.
No wonder this game is game of the year 2023
I swear when he says, " and THE FULL CONCENTRATED POWER OF THE SUN, " it feels like a reference to Megamind- I'm probably just thinking stupid tho 💀💀
The "no no no!" cracks me up. He's throwing a well deserved tantrum.
I come back and watch this video almost daily. I love this so much. So quotable.
Well deserved for best performance in Game awards 2023, I'll be looking forward for your performance Neil! Congrats!!!
CONGRATS TO NEIL FOR VOICING OUR FAVORITE MAN AND WINNING AN AWARD AT THE GAME AWARDS
Jesus christ this got voice preformance of the year
Congrats to the actor behind Astarion for winning VGA's 'Performance of the Year' award in 2023
his award for best performance was well desserved
The “No, no, no” sounds like he’s criticizing a child and it gets me every single time
This man won GOTY for a reason
Hope Neil wins the Game Awards nomination he's up for, from this clip alone, he's fucking deserved it
Neil Newbon definitely deserves an award for his role in Baldur's Gate 3.
won the best performer in TGA lol
Astarion is love!
