Clara turns 96. Her final video is currently be edited and should be ready for Christmas. Clara is in good health and looks forward to being with her family for the Holidays. - Розваги
The passing of this generation is a monumental loss. They survived the 1918 flu pandemic, the great depression, sacrificed dearly during WW2 and rebuilt the world afterward.
I know your post is 2 yrs old, but just had to say how much I agree with you. My mother was a depression era child. Her mother worked in an upscale eatery where she learned many delish recipes from a cook who was top notch. And Grandmother passed her knowledge down to her children, as my mother passed them down to us. It wasn't only cheap eating that tasted heavenly, but it was some of the healthiest food ever. I think todays cancers are caused by so much canned food items, producers using unhealthy tricks to grow food bigger and faster, and of course all the fast food joints. So many chemicals. And the flavor is terrible. I refuse to buy canned tomatoes or tomatoes from the store produce section. If I can't grow enough myself I go to farmers markets.

my great grandma was jewish and polish and her whole family was killed in world war II but she escaped to america. And no matter how much she wanted to die and how she depressed she was, she worked in nyc as a retail worker and you know how bad people were treated. She got all her money and moved to washington DC where she met my great grandpa and had my grandma and my great uncle (I think). She was depressed her entire life and blamed her death of her family on her for not getting them to the us quicker. She lived until 104 and I was 6 when she died. I remember she used to cry all the time because she was scared of dying and she’d always say that she didn’t want to leave her family because she always said that she left her family one and didn’t want to leave her family again. I’m not too sure what happened to my great great grandma and my great grandmas sister but she said she would write them but they never responded to her letter. It was theorized that they were killed in a concentration camp. She never knew what happened to her family ever. She was such a strong lady and I miss her. I have pictures of her and me and if makes me so sad to see her tombstone every year. I love her so much.
This to say that there's no age to become a star please keep this channel up clara is a symbol of strength to the elders &all those struggling with age issues hope this brings more respect towards the elderly

Got rest her gentle soul! Clara was, and still is, a national treasure! I watch her videos and can see my grandmother in them.
Watching her chopping peeling and mixing brings me back many years watching my grandma..thank you for the memories...🌷🎂

I miss my grandma terribly. She died this month in 2006. She was 90. Clara reminds me so much of her. I truly believe that was the greatest generation as they say. My grandma was a great cook, loved her family dearly and made me laugh. I love Clara's cooking. Just like she says, it's simple, cheap and nutritious. I must get her book! Clara I hope you and my grandma are cooking up a storm in heaven, sharing recipes and laughing together. God bless you both! Thanks so much for sharing your grandma with us. I have learned so much from her.

My grandmothers made dishes similar to Clara's and lived to be 90 and 92. Looks like it gave them longevity and strength. God bless that generation.

Just to listen to her talk , she speak strong , just to hear her stories I have not tried any of the cooking lesson , but i have looked at everyone of her bldg she tell a great story about the depression but with pride and how her family was always together. I could listen to her over and over again, there is not to many around that can tell the story about the depression God Bless you and your family .

What a blessing for all of us to have your Nana! Mine turned 100 last July and I am very grateful beyond words to still have 2 grandmothers living! I am 54 and very close to my Nanas although their mental capacity has faltered drastically in the past few years. :( I wish we were able to capture their passion and zest for living and had been able to preserve their wisdom and humor as you have with Clara.
