I find it funny how people said that Starkiller was overpowered because of the feats he pulled off. Yes, he was trained by Vader, and he managed to use the Force to hold a Star Destroyer, but he's not in the same level as Sidious. The story was canon to the EU, but the gameplay was just a fun little experience.

@@owen8755 I was willing to treat the feats as exaggeration his role in the rebellion and the rebel leadership actually being captives on the death star was too far for me.

And people don't seem to take in mind that Starkiller is the son of a Jedi, making him more powerful with the force. Vader trained him since he was a child. This is why he's powerful. Why not?

Played the video game, and loved the Book and the video game! Just finished the novelisation today! Loved it! The story is expanded and told much better in a realistic way, I love how there is more Juno, we get to see what her thoughts are and how she can put up with everything. Also we get to see Bail Organa and his thoughts on Starkiller, lots and lots of good stuff that make the story better in the game.

Matt, as the 501st was ''Vader's Fist'', Starkiller, himself, was ''Vader's Sword''. They are, if you will, an extension of Vader's will! Hopefully, that helps! 🙂

I really wish Shaak Ti never died. Would’ve been way cooler if she and Rahm Kota mentored Starkiller.
Still a better ending for her than dying in the temple sleeping.

Proxy doesn't have the force but he does have tractor and repulsor blasts. So do some of the Rodians from the game in their big cybernetic arms.

I bet you it was easier to read about Starkiller pulling down the star destroyer than playing that part of the game😆
Trust me it was stupid hard

The game is the best version of the story in my opinion. The only downside is that Starkiller's real name is not revealed in the game. I believe only the novel does reveal that he is called Galen Marek. Anyway, great story, Starkiller is overpowered done right as the kid is kidnapped by Vader from a young age and he puts him into a very harsh training. Too bad Starkiller's full story was never finished as the second entry was the last. I heard that it was supposed to be a trilogy.

100% intended as a trilogy. I mean, the sequel ended with vader captured! Quite the cliffhanger lmao

I hated making Starkiller so essential to the rebels forming, I don't mind him HELPING them form but making him essential undercuts the work Bria and Winter did.

Agreed. I would've much preferred if the Rebel Alliance already existed in sime form, and Starkiller simply joined and helped them expand/score a couple significant victories against the Empire.

Lucas saw the EU as a separate continuity. Therefore, TFU does its own thing.

Yeah this bookntakes place close to The New Rebellion and if we take the "Garm and Bail and Mothma were LITERALLY taken aboard the Death Star" part literally it's after almost everything else. Just before the final part of New Rebellion where Bria betrays Han because she heard about the Death Star.

Funny enough Shaak Ti was on the Council in Episode II, which I didn't know until I was talking with my buddy about who on the JHC survived Order 66 just yesterday.
This book was alright. Quite frankly replaying the game on PC and reading this was a massive disappointment. The Force Unleashed was one of the things that got me into the Expanded Universe, and to come back years later to find that the game is kind of bad and the novel is okay was devastating. Maybe the Wii port (the version I played as a kid) is better, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up.
