I get Kendricks a better story teller than Drake and is the very best at that mosdef or the Roots like black first in the air type rap, but my money's on Drake as a diss track maker over kendrick, who we really never seen in the ring before, at least with someone fighting back... where Drake we have, more than a time or two also, and while bombshells as big as Pusha dropped bombshells so big there wasn't any doubt who won, Duppy freestyle was hard! So was survival, and imo the rest of the rap side of Scorpion, and every other time Drakes punched back at someone, but because pusha burried him with the heaviest dirt ever dug up, people missed or quickly forgot the fact Drake more than held his own until the story of Adidon... drakes about as good as it gets at spinning things like for example he did with the prince and Michael jackson (aka king of pop) line from Kendrick (MJ's sons literal name is prince btw). or turning something like kendrick trending doing push ups in the park and the percentage split he has with his label into not just a hook, but a banger like only drake can do. i could very easily be wrong and we've just yet to see kendrick really in the ring with someone punching back, but this much is true, Drake doesn't get enough credit for how willing he's been to hop in and go at top tier lyricists who've sent shots at him!
Also, since its definitely coming... while it was clearly a big mistake legacy wise to collab on a few ealier joints like 10 bands, yall could tell Drake wrote this despite the AI voice over for a reason, cause hes told the truth about writing all the lyrics outside of what hes admitted to, and things like having ghost wrote himself for rappers like Kanye before we knew who he was proved to be the truth, so not only does that prove he could always write, but he 🎉clearly has his own distinct style while doing so which you can hear...
