So, to do the run if the player equipped the tool, you have to take out the tool from the starterpack, then move to the workspace, then put anywhere u want to put. But however theres a problem - when u take it, u will be stuck, and to get unstuck u have to unequip it, so u gotta unanchor the tool
if you want it to go over the maximum health when you eat it instead of staying at 100, you can also change the max health to the current amount of health

Hi there, this is a very good tutorial, and the tools work perfectly fine in the studio of retrostudio, but if I go into the main menu of retrostudio, and play the game by clicking play, it doesn't work for some reason. It only works in the studio. Hopefully you can help me out.

@@skyH4PPY2 My version is i think 2013 - 2015. Atleast the version that supports the first person script. The tool does appear, but when i try to use it, it just doesnt do what it should, instead it does nothing, but in studio the tool script works fine without error.
@@Mind_BindDev if you're having this problem it is a bug from RetroStudio itself, when you put model of part and another model in that with handle and a lot of parts, the game itself removes that like if you have parts and using handle with models in script it would destroy script object without reason, it also happens to me Aswell..

just stick in a play sound block? i assumed that would be like straight forward and stuff since at this point its episode 3 and thats why i used the print blocks and stuff example: for example, you could replace the "Print" blocks at 10:34 with a "Play Sound" block, but the playsound blocks play the audio for everyone ingame no matter where they are, so if you wanted to play the sound in the tool itself, like the farther away you are from the tool the harder it is to hear the sound it''s emitting: put the audio inside the handle, and then in the script where you want it to activate the sound use a "Set Object Property" block to set 'Playing' in the audio to a Bool Value of 'True', then use a "Wait" block and set it to wait for however long the sound effect is, then use "Set Object Property" to change 'Playing' in the sound effect to 'False' again. this would need a cooldown to work properly though, (i talked about cooldowns in the newest episode) you use the wait block because if the script sets 'Playing' back to false too early, it will mess up the sound and will be unreliable. it does this because with the way audios work in this context, when you set 'Playing' to false, the next time you set it back to true it will carry off where it left off. so you would want to only set 'Playing' to false when the audio is done playing, so that when it plays again it plays the audio from the beginning and it isnt cut off. this would only fully work properly with a cooldown though because if the player spams it (like if its tool equipped or tool activated you can spam that easily), then it will mess up the audio even more. so for the second option you would want to activate the cooldown, set the audio to be playing, wait for it to be over, set the audio to stop playing, deactivate the cooldown i hope that makes sense lol, its hard to explain stuff through text
1) make a invisible handle 2)compare left arm and right arm (using the model called "cl_firstPerson") 3) put everything u want in there 4) use the model called "cl_firstPerson" to make it look like you are using the left arm 5)weld eveything 6)playtest it (not really sure if it works, i used my brain without testing this)
