Wow, a great review of this airplane. I know two folks that flew on the Concord from IAD to London they said it was an experience of a life time. The Technology was pretty crude by today’s standards. It was designed with slip sticks (slide rules) what an amazing feat! 😁🛫
Sexiest airliner ever, I can't wait! And I love the "Haynes manual" and other books in the cockpit, very cool to find out Dean himself actually wrote some.
I didn’t realize the manual was a Haynes manual until a friend who is into cars brought it to my attention. Dean has written other books. He might be a leader in the world of product placement inside MSFS.
Although I’d personally prefer authentic INS displays locked in DIS/TIME and fed by the in-sim planner as a stop gap until the sim supports a proper INS, I get that people need more flexibility for flying online, so understand the compromise of an FMC. Important questions are can you do a proper cold and dark start, and will it auto land?
Just think, MSFS isn't even 2 years old yet. There will be lots more amazing aircraft coming out - they just won't be as fast. It is definitely a fun airplane in MSFS.
You and me both. Mach 2 at 60,000 feet is fun, but Mach 3 at 80,000 feet has to be more fun. MSFS needs mid-air refueling and when that happens along with the SR-71 being able to hook up to the tanker, then MSFS will be complete.
This is fantastic. Thanks for the amazing preview. Love the Concorde. I will skip that side cockpit panel as it will take me 10 years to figure it out lol.
I haven’t read his books, but the reviews of his books are very good. One reviewer even said he wasn’t writing a sequel to a book to focus on making airplanes for flight simulators. That reviewer did not seem happy about that fact.
4:22 Just wondering, what is the bind setting for this? I set afterburner toggle, and then tried the specific engine toggles 1-4. Nothing actually gets them flipping for me.
I believe it’s labeled afterburner then setting a key bind to it. Mine is set to a button on the throttle. Once full power is set, press the key bind and afterburner activates when pressed. It comes out of afterburner when power is reduced.
@@thecorporatepilotdad I have a question, have you looked at the FMC properly, like through all the pages and stuff? And if so, is it comparable to an airbus?
@@thecorporatepilotdad I'm glad that they've made the FMC retro looking to it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. The plane looks amazing, thanks for the preview!

The INS does not work. It's GPS for long range navigation and routes can be entered. The manual has directions for route entry. I have only had the airplane for 2 days and over half that time was spent making the video so what you see in the video is about what I know when it comes to programming the FMC.
@@thecorporatepilotdad ok thanks for the info I ll see when it s released buy I m a bit disapointed by that because all the challenge of flying will be kind of missing I guess this airplane is not complex enough for me
What is wrong with developers nowadays?. Seriously. No CIVA unit? That was the heart of the concorde. If they didnt / couldnt spend time on it, only god knows how many more shortcuts they took.
INS is coming, Xbox has to support something with the dials before they can do that. I agree that this has to have alot of work, but the dev has indicated its not done with it like CaptainSim or something, which is why i still hold out hope.
Knowing who made this product takes most of the excitement away from me. Things can change for sure so I'll be keeping an eye on the reviews, however, looking past the texture quality, having an FMC and no INS is already breaking it for me. I hope you'll be presenting more in depth videos on the systems and how deep they go. Mainly the flight model and the fuel system, which are the other main big things any simulation and Concorde fan will want to know about in a product that is supposed to depict this iconic aircraft. Other than that it's a shame, the Concorde is hands down my favorite aircraft. I'll be holding my breath the moment someone who actually cares about realism and authenticity makes this beautiful bird for msfs.

Modeling and texturing look... not up to current times. Sorry. I suppose systems modeling and FM are also up in the air. To the "the corporatepilotdad". please stop telling about all planes that they handle well on ground... it's not that they really have to do complicated ground physics. The mfs ground handling is quite simple and buggy for now and if the developer didn't put extra work to make it richer (like for tail draggers etc) is not worth mentioning it. Of course it handles without problems... all do... like an arcade game. No matter the way they would suppose to actually handle. If you can't tell if it seems to have weight or how much it can swing on suspensions or anything nuanced... then is just misleading. People think that is something the dev actually got right when is just by default... like in GTA.
The flight model is matched to the actual concorde, not just ground taxiing. But i don't think you're in any position to tell someone else how to run their channel.

does the real aircraft takes so long to bring the nose down after landing?
The time to get the nose on the ground will vary slightly from pilot to pilot in any airplane. Did they hold it off as long as I did? Probably not.
