My wife and I rode the Rattlesnake (day 3) on our Pursuit about a month ago. Seeing the Idaho Rockies outside CDA, it was like watching friends I haven't met have fun in my back yard; I used to camp and ride around on those roads almost every weekend back in the day. Awesome video.
Nice scenery, but that miserable effin weather makes me never want to ride there. I've ridden in weather from 24f to 124f and through sun, 50mph winds, rain, hail and snow. But just because I can ride in it doesn't mean I want to ride in it. That being said, the power windshield and lower fairings on my Roadmaster are the best things for getting through a quick summer thunderstorm.
Indian very generously let me ride all their touring models at the One Moto Show. No holds barred just be back in a half hour on each one. They Absolutely kicked H-D’s ass as far as demo rides go. I’d say don’t bother with rain mode. That being said I ride alone and maybe form up with another rider or two on the road, never stop to chat or have biscuits and gravy together. These people just annoy the hell out of me but it could be the music.

I absolutely love this series, so cool to see two of my favorite brands coming together to make something awesome!
Love the video, guys
A bit more info about how the bikes performed and the riding gear "how did the water proofs handle the rain?"
Water profs made a huge difference
