Poor sportsmanship for not allowing Dan his perfectly legal drop
Dan getting bullied out of an obvious drop. Shameful. 😯
Is it really a obvious drop though? Lets say that the ball is not on the road; we're discussing the obstruction. It's just a free drop when the obstruction interferes the area of his intended swing. If you look at the ball compared to the flag, it seems that the obstruction do not interferes with the swing? Spieth were in a similar position a couple of weeks ago (with a sprinkler head), where he wanted the drop but it was not accepted since it was not in the area of his inteded swing, even though it was really close.. The line is really fine between when it is OK and when it is not OK..

Alexander Eriksson Yes, it’s absolutely obvious. I’m off scratch and have played a lot of amateur events where people will stretch to make sure they can drop for an advantage gain, and it’s totally legal. In this case it obviously had an effect on his swing so was way within his right to move it. Cross field and the average club hacker aren’t so clued up on the rules...

Great tips. I have Ford motor company training right off of Billy Graham parkway. I also got rear ended by a drunk lady from Florida at the stop light on Billy Graham. Totalled my rental car,but walked away without a scratch. There is some nice courses around Columbia. My daughter went to college at USC in Columbia. The Riverbanks Zoo is pretty cool. Not much nightlife unless you like college hangouts. Cobblestone Golfcourse is nice, lots of hills and tight fairways. Jim Sonifield from Hootie and the Blowfish recommended it to me. I shot a 75 first time playing. So naturally i loved it. You are an hour and a half from Kiawah island staying in Columbia. Stay on route 26 east and brings you to rt 526 straight here. Great vlog boys .

I thought they were joking about not giving Dan that drop, but they stuck with it. That's a bit mental to me that they didn't give him relief. I hope it was more just making everyone play it as it lies and not them actually interpreting the rules...because if that's the case that's troubling.

Ray: Can I play off 7? No not on these courses. The difficulty and length of the course has nothing to do with your inability to control your face to path and strike
