- Founded in 1943, the Royal Air Force Mountain Rescue Service has been saving lives for 80 years.
Forces News has been given rare access to a training mission at RAF Valley in Anglesey.
Managed by both permanent staff and part-time volunteers from all three services, each RAF Mountain Rescue Team is equipped for immediate deployment throughout the UK.

Yeah! Sending best wishes to RAF Lossiemouth Mountain Rescue....all the RAF Mountain Rescue teams are awesome, great skill set, total dedication.

Fewer crashes, less survivable.
Cool as a cucumber; and yet can feel the humanity.

Knowing You are 'there' is what counts,
Why are they only searching for one aircrew, if both ejected?
one caught a bus home
I cant help but think that the urgency seems not to be as urgent as i would of imagined 🤔 but no disrespect intended to the rescue crews.

Why not hang around already in the right clothes?
Because this is an extra role they perform outside of their normal job. So in essence same as RNLI who don't sit around all day in their rig.
- A seriously SLOW 'delivery' !!!
🚷 Switch clothes : W*F 🚷
