Redesigning Thrifted Button Downs | Thrift Flip

- This week I challenged myself to redesign 6 thrifted button down shirts. Reusing and reshaping materials is really important to me as an artist, because I want to reduce textile waste, rather than add to it. So I’m on a mission to make a more sustainable/environmentally friendly wardrobe - one that lets me play and explore creatively.
This video is part 1 of 2, so I’m showing you 3 shirts. I wanted to keep them pretty simple and structured. I think anybody with some basic sewing skills could easily do this at home!
I started these without a plan, and as I worked, a strong theme developed. Let me know what you think about it in the comments! Would you ever make or buy redesigned/reworked clothing? Would love to know your thoughts!

I loved the cat house embroidery!! I would left it as it was or use the embroidered part to make a crop top, everthing was sooo cute!!
So cute! I love all of the stripes and my favorite is the first one with the bottom ruffle!
Thank you! The stripes were so fun to play with. The first one is my favorite too :)
I’m soo obsessed with the second look! Stripes on stripes is a great look!
Aw thank you ☺️
Congrats on 100 Subscribers Eliza! Proud of you!
