Another great shave with a budget razor. Another good inexpensive option is the Dorco PL602. The Razor Company has them. It’s also semi adjustable, although not advertised as such.
Haha I woke up & wondered when you were going to drop this video! So do you like the L5 or L6 better? 😂😂😂 when you put the lather over your glasses. I have to love a blade before I buy 100. I only like lord platinums and asco orange are ok in some razors. 🍿 🍿🍿waiting for the Gem video next.
That's a hard one I like the shave from both, the L6 is a little more aggressive, in the end tabs aren't as exposed, the L5 is thinner in the top cap,and lighter.
Could you also compare this razor to the fat handle or flat bottomed Gillette Tech made in USA before ~1950? (EDIT: Around twenty-six minutes near the end of video you basically answered that question, seeming to be as a "yes". I wonder what difference the handle length makes.)
This soap smells good. Too me it’s more lime vs arko is more lemon/citrus with incense notes per my wife 😂. Lathers similar too arko. I think arko is a tad more tense and voluminous. I got a stick of each free. Put them in deodorant and chapstick tubes. Sticks are fun to use.
What you say and show with the soaps and the preshave choice is confusing. On the guessably main soap you showed a stick with part of the labeling saying, "...koryen", and you say Pears' mixed with something else from Dollar Tree but you held up for view what looks like a bulk piece of Pears' soap. Then you began preparing for your shave starting with rubbing some soap from the ...koryen onto your head; so the preshave before the lathering is not demonstrated. I am confused what you are trying to say . We can only understand most of what we SEE you do. What is the full name of that "...koryen" soap?
I was doing an experiment of putting the main soap on is a pre-shave, then lather the pre-shave as you would the normal soap and seeing if there was a difference which to me there wasn't. The soap is Jikoryen, it's from turkey and it's in the same category as Arko, and Derby.

Thanks, I will take a look at that razor, I have also been looking at getting some dorco blades not sure which ones yet.
@@CDinVT Sharpologist did a write up on the razor. It also comes with a Dorco blade or two, so it’s a win win.
