I was a little kid in grade school, listening to Sam & Dave. Whenever I hear their songs, it takes me back to those days. The passing of all those who are no longer here reminds me that we are mortal, and no matter how long we live, time goes by very quickly. We must enjoy life while we are still here.
    RIP everyone. God bless!🕊⚘️🕊

I stood on the sidewalk outside the El Cid club in San Francisco, way back in 1963…
I was only 17 and not allowed to go inside…
I saw Sam and Dave singing “Soul Man” from my spot on the sidewalk!!
    What a memory!!

Even after all these years later, Dolores O’Riordan’s death hits hard. My dad and I were both fans of The Cranberries. In fact, I even got him a copy of “In the End” for his birthday one year, which was the last Cranberries album before the group disbanded following O’Riordan’s death. “Lost” will always be my favorite song on that album. I’ve listened to it on repeat many times before. My dad’s favorite Cranberries song will always be “I’m Still Remembering”. It moves him to tears every single time he listens to it, probably even more so now that O’Riordan has passed. Rest in Peace, Dolores.

I believe the parrot was not always in Judi's care. Judi has been a Quaker for decades, and has support from that community, too.

@vickiebohy7609 - In one incident, the shooter was later found in a dumpster, would not surrender, also shot a K-9 officer (the dog will recover, thank God). The suspect was shot and killed by officers when he fired at them. He had a long track record of being a violent offender.
In the second incident, the officer was hit head on by a driver being chased for a fraudulent check. She had come across the median and was headed the wrong way when she collided with the officer. They were both killed instantly.
So between the two officers and the two suspects, there are now four families grieving losses. Sad day for Texas.

RIP Simon Townsend. 😢 Simon was a mainstay of children’s TV when I was a kid and his show was way ahead of its time featuring things never seen before on children’s TV, especially here in Australia. I watched the show religiously from when I was about 8 to when I was 16 (when it was cancelled) and always loved it, despite copping flack from some of my friends in my teenage years! Jono (Jonathan Coleman) was also a huge part of that show and we also lost this fantastic man in 2021. Simon will always be in our hearts….”And remember, the world really is wonderful!" ❤😢

Simon Townsend brought the wonder of the world (no pun intended) to Aussie kids with his program. The show dealt with some heavy-hitting subjects and aimed to deliver the message to kids without preaching to them or doing so in a condescending manner.
As a younger man, he was imprisoned for being a conscientious objector and refusing to report for National Service and be sent to serve in Vietnam.
