Easy answer Jerjak island is in Penang Territory thus Penang Hokien who live in Penang would say it just another district's in Penang so why bother to visit coz i see Pulau Jerjak since i was born so what the biggies .Non Penangite will say i should visit Jerjak Island and see what to make out of it ,and the Malay say Jerjak tu Pulau Sial ada banyak sial kalau jejak kaki kat situ hantu atau sial ikut pulang kat rumah.So if whoever see the fortune to make out of this Prison Island and strike it big it will be your for the taking so if the Malay say it their island by history i would say it is like Penang used to be Kedah giv1en to British etc or Hong Kong given to British during the Opium war.Next it might be Ketum War .
