If you don't want to buy pets using pearls, there are pets on the central market for silver and sometimes in the loyalty section of the pearl shop. Plus you can get plenty of pets from quests.

It’s also worth knowing it’s Muuuch faster levelling a t1 and the upgrading it, rather than getting to t4 and then spending forever getting it to level 10
Smarter each upload, I didn't know the level didn't matter. Now I shall smash my remaining matching pets together to see if I get lucky.

You don't NEED to level your pets but it gives them more skill options to carry because you get a new skill at level 10.
I appreciate the video man.. I managed to to upgrade my pets including my hedgehog. I had a heap of pets from all the events and such over the years From all my pets that I had all tier 1, I got 4 tier 3's and only 1 tier 1 left, all different special talents and got a good mixture of exp gains and and resistances. All this for FREE lol..winning!

I totally love BDO I have been playing it for about 1 month now. but I don't know anyone whos play it so it can feel lonely at times even tho you do see lots of players all the time. people are usually not as friendly as in other MMOs I have played.
I would have explained it is better to level your pets to level 10 before upgrading them. They will get a skill at 10 if its good pass it onto the upgraded pet. If it sucks choose to randomly get a new one. This will allow you to get more skill choices and thus better more useful pets.
I upgraded my kuku with two tier 1 to tier 3 on my first upgrade lol with 45 percent chance 😄

Is it possible to keep the 5% combat exp and then be lucky enough to get another combat skill with the same pet after it earns another tier? So instead of the 5 it would be at 10%
I don't know if my game is bugged or what, but my pets don't have a level. They have a Tier, but unlike in this video there is no level listed above their tier...
I have a problem with my pets cause they dont gain any EXP! Can you tell me how to make them level up? And i am not talking about Tier!
i am new to this game. so let say i got 3 red young dragons and i want their appearance, so i exchange with different pet , so i will get 3 red yound dragon with different special skills...?? right,..? but does the game let you take out 3 same looking pet at the same time..?? if that make sence

I had 5 pets active and 2 taken out. One of wich was a cat. I just recieved another cat from an event. I activated it and i lost my T3 lvl 7 cat i had. It overwrote it. How is that possible? What did i do wrong? 😭😭😭 i tought it would just add it the list of pets i already had 😢😢
Now i have 5 pets instead of 6. Idk what happaned. Can anyone help pls 😢

I had hedgehogs from before, but were tier 1 still because I didn't see the point of wasting other pets to upgrade them. Kinda foolish now looking on it. Just upgraded 4 hedgehogs to tier 3, without having to use more than 4 other tier 1's. Very lucky I guess.

Hurmm if a pet have auto-fishing and breed with another pet.. will i lose the auto-fishing reduction?
If you keep the auto fish pet, no. You will have the option to select which pet you are breeding. You lose the effects of any other pets you feed into the one.
Pet family basically means "limited", "event", "classic", that kind of stuff?

So, I'm curious about something, i have a T4 Wolf and he's still awfully puny in size, isn't he suppose to get bigger as he levels up per tier?
when i pick hedgehoog i cant exchange it with same limited pet but when i put shadow woft 1st it it exchangable with hedgehog. what if i exchange shadow wolf + hedgehog i i picked hedghoog apperance will i keep the hedgehog special talent?
I play on console and been getting lucky with getting choppy of the cm. For in game silver. So if you dont have money to spend put up a order for choppy and you'll probably get one. I've gotten 3 today. Just watch out for sales on pets and when theres a sale go to the cm and put up a order you more then likely get one. Eventually.
helpfull. i would have liked if you go on what skills can be learned, the skill you get with apearance and a little deeper on what the chances are for a higher pet like tier 4 and the differend pet classes but over all ok. since i made 2 tier 4 out of my 4 tier 3 i can forgive you

Oh BDO is just a pile of scam after scam.
Scam is a word. Words have meanings. Learn what words mean before using them ;) helps so ppl dont notice ur intelligence level. U could call it gambling, but u can 100% it if u want. Where is scam??? U can literally pay exact amount to get a t4 or pay less and gamble. Glad I could help

So what if you breed 2 Tier 2 pets? Does that give the chance for tier 4? Or T3 with T2
so is it the first(main) pet that i put in that it levels up in to or is it random wich type of pet you get from the ones that you chose?
I should have known you had already done the pet system, I was asking my guildies, hard to understand with typing. This explained it much better. Do you have a fairy level up video also?

Hey nice guide! Simple and straight to the point! Just wanted an opinion since I don't want to spend a lot of real money in the game: I noticed there's a a place in the MP where you can actually buy pets for silver. Thing is, they are always only in pre order and I don't know if it's rly worth waiting or if it takes forever to buy them this way. Im really tempted on buying them in the MP since they are not rly expensive (around 65M I think?). Don't know if I should just try to spend the silver on something else atm because I think that pets are the most crucial thing when it comes to farming in this game and I only have one at tier 3 and the rest at tier 1. Oh and also, I have a penguin which I cant rly have more of them right now since it was a limited pet? So I also don't know what to do with him since it's kinda stuck at tier 1 because can´t find another pet that breeds with him.
If a pet goes on sale in the cash shop, to the point where it is more cost efficient for someone to buy that and sell it rather than a costume, then the pets will sell. It's really just a waiting game, but you can predict it by keeping track of the pearl item sales.
How do you upgrade a (special) pet, my friend just got the garmoth pet and cant figure out how to level it, there doesnt seem to be any guides as to what pets level it online.

you stay at whatever tier you were on the original pet, and low - to guarentee a tier 4 you need 2 tier 3s and 2 tier 1s

I suggest an update to this guide. This is the first time a guide by Evildousharm was slightly disappointing where I found better information elsewhere. the systems is a bit different. I found a strategy to getting 5 tier 4 pets by smashing up to 13 tier 1 pairs together first based on how many of those goto tier 3, you can mitigate the RNG getting to Tier4. Anyway, more thorough information can be found on a reddit thread.. I'd link but I don't it available atm. Just suggest an update to getting 5 tier 4 pets in the most economical way possible.
How many skills can a pet have? There are more than 3 slots do they get more when they level up to level 10

You can put in a buy order on the market for in game silver and not spend a dollar for a lot of the shop items just have to be patient. I have like 8 pets and just started last week didn't pay a cent for any of them
@atvkid0805 the game got way to grinding I quit lol. I was farming centaurs for 3 hours barley making 100mil, and people say they make 100mil in 1 hours hmm in different areas which are way to high levels for me to reach to make money there so most ayers.r stuck at centaurs or marshroom to farm for money, and those area people fight over those areas for farming money. Good luck. If u can kill in 1 or 2 hits on centaurs then most players won't take your farm.
@@whattheworldsneedswhatneed774 Because you probably aren't using any buffs and watch youtube or anything else during that time, I'm makin over 100m an hr at blood wolfs farming for unlimited health potion with season gear and I'm not even popping anything serious just a cron meal
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Black Desert's cash shop is genius if you want to make money. All other game companies could learn a lot (and become more evil) by using these types of systems. So easy to spend a lot of money in this game and even feel good after you do it. Amazing. I've spent a total of about 600 on the game since 2014 but fight the urge to spend more money almost daily. Videos like this make that battle harder :)
