How difficult is it to buy an insulated lunch container that can keep cold and hot foods temperature-controlled until your girls' lunch periods? They are more expensive than plastic food containers, but you can afford to invest in two of them. And as an at-home mother, you should be able to better manage your mornings so that your girls have ALL that they need for their school day BEFORE they leave the house. You create disruption for the teachers and staff every time your daughters have to leave their classes to go to the front office to pick up their lunch. You think it isn't a big deal only because you don't know how just one kid "having" to leave the classroom can create a domino effect of other kids wanting to leave the class. Even if their schools don't have policies against parents dropping off lunches, you HAVE to see how your habit of not having your kids totally prepared for the day can create disruption for the teachers and front office. Your kids are special...only to you. Humble yourself. The entitlement and arrogance that you bring over here is laughable.
I beg to disagree ! Abi works from home and thus is not a traditional stay at home mum. You are not privy to her schedule. Thus you cannot dictate how she should manage her household. You are out of line. Moreover she said they take the lunches at lunchtime which means the children will not be disrupting lessons to go to the office. The teacher was out of line and crossed a boundary. She too should mind her business.
How exactly does her working from home excuse her from having her kids totally prepared for the school day before they leave the house? I'm positive that most of the other parents from that school have to get themselves ready to leave the house for their "traditional" jobs each morning, AND they also manage to have their children's lunches packed for them when they leave the house for school. It's not an impossible feat. While the teacher's words weren't kind, Abi should look at how she contributes to the issue. When you know better you should always do better. Stop making excuses for someone just because you idolize her.
Hey! When you know you're different from others, make sure no one has their eyes on you. Meaning, tell your child whenever this happens, she should tell the teacher that they prefer it that way. Do not cause trouble for your kids. They are the one in the school. As far as you didn't receive an email from the school, do not make a big deal out it.
Everybody has their way of parenting and there is no right or wrong answer to that. But what if every parent drops off their kids lunch during break, that's an extra task for the school admin to do. Maybe they can pack it in the evening or something. You should definitely talk to the teacher, is it affecting the class or teaching in anyway. she definitely needs to stop
In the Caribbean the school prepare lunch parents psid for it they only carry their snacks or buy the snacks st the school my grand children just carry thete bottle wster and their drinks to school cook lunch is prepare st the school viewing from jamaica ❤❤👍👍🇯🇲👍
Abi I don’t know how it’s works in Canada but in the UK if kids doesn’t have their pack lunch the school will provide one for them and I will be billed on a later date. They shouldn’t have gone without having any lunch at school. Please speak to the principal because that teacher shouldn’t ever speak to them in such ways as it’s nothing to do with her whether they bring food to school or not.
Really it is not their business. I hope she told you who so you can address the issue. That is called corporate bully on their side. Well done for all you do. A jere won l'agbara olorun
your little boy is so cute lovely handsome i have grey hair too bif you go back in proverb ,31 i think itnis daid your gery hair is your glory whe our hair is greying let be happy it let my hairvsat like that no colouring
Have you ever taught a class and had just one child leaving create a domino effect of other kids having to get up to leave the classroom? It absolutely is disruptive. And if Abi is an at-home mother, she needs to improve her time management in the mornings. There is no reason why her children are habitually not totally prepared for school BEFORE they leave the house in the morning (being totally prepared includes having their lunches packed WITH them).

That is a good idea ,we use to do that in the Caribiean.❤❤❤🎉
Abi my darling do what works for you. If it’s convenient, then do it. Why should anyone in the comment section judge you.
Because she's flaky, arrogant, and entitled.
Do what is best for your children. Dropping food during lunchtime is not disturbing any admin or teacher. Love them and care for them. 🥰🫶🏿
