Willie Nelson was my fave Country Singer songwriter till I started watching these videos. I'm so sad that he died before I could get chance to see him LIVE in concert. Whoever you are Tarquin45 you have made a big difference to my life. x
Marty Robbins always spoke highly of Elvis. He toured with him in 1955 and they stayed friendly through the years. Two of the most talented singers ever put on God's green earth.
Country music use to be so good Marty was one of the best Faron Young George Jones Hank Sr and Jr Carl Smith on and on. But this stuff today is not country
I'd trade all of my tomorrows for just one yesterday 'Cause what good is life without the one you love I'd trade all of my tomorrows, they're worthless anyway If my arms can't hold the one I'm dreaming of An empty world is all I have before me I'd give anything if you were with me now I'd trade all of my tomorrows for just one yesterday I don't want to live without you, anyhow I'd trade all of my tomorrows for just one yesterday For what good is life without the one you love I'd trade all of my tomorrows they're worthless anyway If my arms can't hold the one I'm dreaming of Just an empty world is all I have before me I'd give anything if you were with me now I'd trade all of my tomorrows for just one yesterday I don't want to live without you, anyhow
My Father must have had a great listening ear, 3 of his favorite singers were Patsy Cline, Jim Reeves, and Marty Robbins! He passed in 1984 and thanks to him I still play this music all the time! Classic true SUPERSTARS, all 3!
A true Showman That loved all his fan's even as far back as in the 50's even when I first saw him on stage Most underrated Voice and talent of our time RIP
Love Marty Robbins. My husband(who has been in Heaven for nearly 14 years) would love to be here with me now as i sit here crying and remembering him and how e used to listen to these songs. The words really hit home . nonnie
I always said that my husband was born 100 years to late. We were moving South from Ohio when I heard "Mr. Shorty" and it fit my man to a T. Couldn't find it in the store so I wrote to Marty's office and he sent me a copy of the album. He came to Ohio every year and played at the "Front Row Theater " but you had to buy tickets a year in advance and couldn't afford to take a chance that we couldn't get to the show. It was quite a distance away. Loved his TV shows, him and his music!
This is the honest to God Truth what do you have emptie world Love you marty and maneu gr yes Lord Id Trade all o my Tomorow's marte gust a Emply worl.
With the audio issues, it's too bad this is virtually the only recording of this song from him available. Despite that it still sounds beautiful. What a talented man.
I'm sorry I haven't heard the Eddy Arnold version, but this one's 'jes fine! Love that silky, soulful tenor...and lookit the "baby Martin" gee-tar he's holding! I searched for this tune thinking of Willie Nelson's 1960s recording. Also killer, like this version but with a special poigniant lonesomeness.
I wish I could find a Marty Robbins book that he wrote. I have the one that his twin sister wrote but I would like to hear Marty"s version of his younger days.
yes we made eye contact. less than a foot away he was going to give me autograph. but he js got on his bus he looked at me th last minet . security had js closed bus door oh well . eye contact . . was fine .boise idaho . late 80 s concert race Track. .

Every song he sang became the definative version of that song,,,You cant buy that, it's called talent.
I totally agree with that Zane!! Not much talent these days, just a lot of noise.
Marty was one very special person and could out sing anyone. I miss him so. Thank you for posting and helping to keep his memory alive.

Once again Marty ripps your heart out.
truly stunning singing from the brilliant marty the best ever
What a combination, the Mr. Robbins' emotional voice and the expressive osmosis of Mr Johnson's pedal steel guitar.
my favorite song from Marty Robbins is:( Some memories just dont die) and thats the truth
His voice is so perfect
You share the most wonderful videos with us. Thank you so much.

Marty was second to no one. He had far more range than Jim Reeves and I can't think of anyone else who sings with such silky smoothness.
I wish I have the guts to post this song to the ONE i love and miss so much. 38 years is a long time but the sorrow remains........
Those times were beatiful and I have often wondered if God inspired this music that we listened to at that time.
Just wonderful
Like pure Velvet Voice is so Smooth ...
man does Marty ever go to the heart
so lovely as usual. thanks tarquin
OMG! That voice....
OUTSTANDING...!!! Thanks.............Sid...!!!
a song can break your heart.

Pretty but sad song 👩🏻🏫👵🏻☹️🥰‼️
I wish I could find a Marty Robbins book that he wrote. I have the one that his twin sister wrote but I would like to hear Marty"s version of his younger days.
His Dad changed the family name from Maczinski to Robinson. only a few cousins from that family still alive. my Mother in law is one and 95 yrs old.
@@ronwalters6192 First time to hear this. Have been a fan all my life. Used to see him each year at the Grand Fiddler's contest at Opryland USA.
