It doesn't apply to online orders. its lame if there are no stores within 20 miles that have the games you want to pick up. Your Gamestop journey is what i used to do before covid and in the middle of covid. I had gotten better deals at those Gamestops back then vs now. Its hard to find those deals again since they align their prices with the reseller market now.

9:30 For me it's crazy that so many games are locked in drawers behind the counter. I'd never ask a retail store in which you can clearly see which consoles they are carrying (eg ps4/xbone+++) and ask them well how about stuff from 20 years ago. I listen to music through headphones and like to look in peace at my own speed. Put those games on a shelf or case!!

I always get depressed when I go into Gamestops just from what I grew up with and where they are now. I only really have a Game Exchange, which my city's Game Exchange is not great, and 2 Movie Trading Companies(Vintage Stock) in my area to go game hunting. Also gonna go listen to the Chrono Trigger soundtrack now that you dropped that battle music in there. Great video as always!
Don't settle for the prices listed. A lot of times the prices may differ versus their website (they will match it) and they will price match pricing for new games from the bigger national retailers.

2:30 Incorrect by the employee, there’s literally a sign corporate gives to stores that we take in games from basically everything except the more obscure retro platforms.
I've been told that it's at the discretion of the managers and employees on whether or not they stock PS2-era games. Many of the Gamestops in my area do not consistently stock anything older than Xbox 360 and PS3-era games. Even then their retro games are hardly ever displayed. I often have to request a list, and I try to do it when the store is not busy. But I don't think Gamestop employees are trained or provided tools to open cartridges or to identify fake games which why some stores won't take in older games.
@@conservativegamer9047So technically anything traded in older than PS360/Wii/DS/3DS is supposed to be sent to corporate to sell, but some stores don’t want to lose sales so they will keep the games in store. But yes technically you aren’t supposed to find older than gen 7 games in store, but you can if you find the right location.
@@JRPGLifeNothing pre-NES, no Master System/Lynx/Jaguar/Game Gear/T16/Sega CD/32X/Neo Geo/Wonderswan/Neo Geo Pocket, but everything else is fair game. But the only way GS will get classic retro inventory is if someone doesn’t know what they’re selling; as while the sale price is mostly competitive with price charting, the TIV’s are NOT.
@@MSUHitman I see. It's too bad then that most of the Gamestop stores that I visit are strict on sending their PS2-era and older games to corporate HQ. However, at two separate locations, I did happen upon a copy of Demon's Crest on SNES (that was fake), Ninja Gaiden 1 on NES and Mario RPG on SNES (appeared authentic). So I do see the older games, but only on very rare occasions. Gamestop would be a better experience if it also sold the older stuff and if it used real photos of the exact item on its website. But since games are shipped from different stores - and not one processing warehouse - I understand why it would be difficult to include actual photos. My point is that the inconsistency of services and products doesn't help Gamestop build the best reputation amongst its gamer and collector consumer bases.

Always ask even if they put some out. Some stores will keep like ps2,ps1,gamecube and others behind the counter while the others are out. Friday I found lunar 1 and 2 ps1 case and games, alundra cib ps1 and intelligent qube civ

Just did a small run checking out 4 for 40 and picked up Ys IX, Star Ocean, Tactics Ogre, JoJos Bizarre Adventure and Wanted: Dead. Hate driving out here but it was worth it.
I took in some Xbox box controllers to one of my local gamestops yesterday and got silent hill hd collection and silent hill homecoming. Not the best of games but wanted them for my collection and it was nice to see ps3 games back at GameStop and for a good price too.
This is like me every weekend except Hard Off... Last weekend was Gunma and Tochigi, this weekend it will be Tokyo and Kanagawa... Luckily all is cheaper in Japan except gasoline :D

I only go to gamestop once a month so i can use the 5 dollar rewards. Other than That. Pawns, goodwills and mom and pop shops I go to.

Fair enough, it woulda been nice during the video if at every stop you threw up the address of each one. A couple that I saw in the video I wish I knew where it was.
