As a drummer i can say i know what he felt when he got his set. iT IS A VERY SPECIAL MOMENT WHEN A DRUMMER GETS HIS 1ST SET !! Trust me i know. I just wish i would have been as good as he was when i got my 1st set. I know he could not wait until everybody was out the house so he could be alone with his set. I know he spends a lot of time with it. He is a good kid who will go places with his drums. Drummers are special people.

I have been playing now for 25+ years in several groups and bands and church every week and still practice everyday. Stay inspired and look to the Lord for an anointing and He will truly Bless you. The good book says you "can do all things" through Christ, remember that and never give up. Drumming is all about Passion and if you keep that in your heart you will surely go far, God Bless you and good luck, and always remember those that love you and support you. We will all be looking for great things from this young man...
What a wonderful child. He impressed me the way he held a gorove the first time he sat behind the kit. he played in the pocket, and didn't try to show off. He is going to be a great drummer.

Then she would tell me to play for him God and then I never looked back. I’ve played with go go bands from the late 70s till the 90s . Seeing your face brought back memories of my days of youth. I did the exact same thing starting drums, first “drum set” I ever drummed on was a footstool, and the sticks were one toy drumstick from one of those plastic electronic sheet drum sets, and a wooden spoon, that then evolved into pillows, pots, pans, and pot lids, to see another kid about the same age I was when I started drums, it’s just special, hope for the best little bro, keep drumming.
The pots and pans are the traditional instruments for drummers when they start out. And that’s another reason I love drums so much, and I just thought about this right now, but say that you’re a little kid and you want to play any kind of instrument. For drummers, the pots and pans are perfect for little ones until they’re ready for real kits. And I don’t mean the plastic toy kits you get at a toy store, though they can technically work, but it’s not going to give them that sound that they want.
I remember making a homemade drum set from scratch 5 years ago. I got a starter drum set a few months later. Now I play for the school I went to contests, have a bunch of medals and everyone loves my drum solos. Let's hope he has the same experience.
