I am not an active student, so my files and notes system is basically based upon primarily keeping track of personal and work information. I used three tools: Evernote, Google Drive, and Livescribe. Evernote is my primary location for information that is not a "document". For example, I have an Evernote note that has the size of my home heating/cooling air filter sizes. Google Drive is my primary location for documents. For example, I keep a copy of my resume in Google Drive. Livescribe is used for all my note taking, primarily for work, as I really like taking handwritten notes. And with my Livescribe 3 smartpen, my handwritten notes are saved to Evernote. This system may sound complicated, but it is one that I developed over time and currently works for me. As always, thanks for your videos.

Great video. I recommend Joplin for a free and open source alternative to Evernote.
