hi i have real difficulty finding a plumber who is willing to put any effort in understanding how to install this roman tub drain its like they all hate to do this type of job ( i am in seattle ) all i get "its difficult and I dont know " can you explain to me some more specifics on how exactly this drain is installed and what parts are all involved including the part it connects to under the floor to the rest of the drain pipe
Is there a reason you put a ledge. I want to build and one but I don't want the ledge. Thanks a lot for the upload I couldn't find anything nearly this good online anywhere else.
So I know this may come across as a stupid question, but how much heat cant the tiles withstand. I'm a tall individual and want to make a large tub, so its gonna have to hold a lot of water. Instead of putting my water heater through turmoil I wanna use a water troph heater instead. Will this hurt the tub?
My husband and I are renovating a small bath in an historical home and wanted to design our own "roman tub" in tile. The full bath is located upstairs. We are worried about the future of this project and stability and leaking,etc. How is yours holding up and what do you think about our project. Our issue too, is that we have to have a smaller tub (48") and they are truly difficult to find!!! Thanks, Judith

T Keith Kravitz its not Dave Matthews it's Blues Traveler and it's STILL a crappy choice for a clip on a Roman tub. Couldn't you have used the themes from Spartacus or Ben Hur for f@#ks sake?

Is there a way to waterproof with one coat?
this one is holding up well... be sure and use alot of that waterproofing...
